Can't tame pet

Hi there

Why i cant buy the "tame pet" skill? I meet the requirements but the skill isn't in the buy list.

    Is the creature you want to tame a lower level than you ?
    Can it be tamed ? Dont try and tame the Elder !....he he.
    Is a message displayed or does it just say failed ?
    It can take some time to do it especially if the creature is close to your level.

    If you don't have the tame pet skill how did you get a pet? o_O

    The pet you want may not be tamable you can tell if they have a little icon under the name saying how hard it is to tame, if it's not there then you can't tame it. Oh your level has to be equal or higher then that of the monster you wish to tame.

    Hit 'r' to bring up your skills list. If tame beast is not on the list (should be just before heal pet), then you haven't done/finished the quest yet. Go see the pet skill trainer and check under Quests. If she doesn't have the quest for you, bring up your quest log (hit 'q') and check there. If it's not there either, then you're bugged. Page a GM.

    The quest to get your first pet is different from the quest for the tame skill. I suggest using this guide for the quest, since it's not exactly obvious where in the Desert of Echoes you're supposed to go.

    I've spoken with the wrong person. Now i've done the quest and i got the pet tame skill.

    There's a quest at lvl 3 I think, that gets you your first pet by simply killing a monster, without having to tame it.
