i keep hearing all these people talking about having "mules" - basically characters that have a sole purpose to just sell items in a consignment shop.

Is this allowed? Can you get banned for this?

Doubt it, it's just like any other character in the game but used for different things.

Definition of a Mule is slightly different then the consignment shop. A "mule" is a character used just for extra storage, basically like a real life mule would be used to carry extra stuff for a journey. People have mules on the same account as their main, and those people cant even use it to keep a consignment shop up, but it still provides extra storage. People with an extra computer at home will often make a seperate account, so they can have a mule with shop up while they play. No matter how its done, this is in no way a bannable offense. However it does seem to give a money making edge to those with multiple computers. Regardless of this edge, you can not get in trouble for this and its perfectly within the rules.

Early in the game my mats account was banned. I'm not sure if they have revised the rule but I'd be cautious of storing anything of value till you get a reply from a GM.

Has anyone else gotten banned for using mules?

I can't find anything in the rules that says it's not allowed. Can a Admin/Mod please clarify? Thanks

How did you transfer your items from yourself to your mats account?

Not sure how they did it but I heard of someone that goes and hides in a spot where no one will see them and drops all the items. Then they log in to the other account and collects all the items.

I do that, but my characters are both on the same account.b:victory

Just use the mail system to send items to your mules.

I have a storage mule and seller mule. I leave the seller in west Arch and set him up whenever I plan on being afk for a while. This saves time so that I don't need to run to Arch every time I plan on being afk and wanna set up my Cat Shop.

Guess I should've been more clear. I'm not asking how to transfer items. I'm asking how SHE did it. Because certain ways of transferring are illegal and may have been the cause of the ban.

    Oh, okay.

I think there are alot of people that don't know they can use the mail system transfer or store items between their characters.

How could a mule account possibly be a bannable offense? If you are trying to run two accounts at the same time on the same computer then sure yea, I can see that being bannable and I believe it is. But having a separate account that you either run on another computer or switch between on your main computer, how could that be so bad? I don't even have a mule account but I have heard people mention them before and didn't see how they could be a problem.

The reason people use mule accounts is that the banks are soo freakin' small in this game when you first start out. Even after you do the 2 bankers quests to get the extra slots it's still a pretty small bank compared to most games out there. It is just one more way for them to get people to spend real cash though.

not completely on topic but this post should be helpful http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showpost.php?p=1164332&postcount=6
Perhaps the greatest secret to getting along with others lies in learning to respect their opinion(s) even while you disagree with them.

i hear that there is a program out that allows u to use multiple accounts on one computer..and its a free program.I personally dont see what the problem is about running a mule anyways..now if some one is running mules then yeah that can be a problem..kinda like a exploit in a way.
