Dex good for PvP?

Hey, I was wondering, is Dex good for Barbs for PvP? I ask because of two things that happenned to me. First off, you should know that I have 34 dex. Any ways, a couple of days ago, I was standing outside of Gate of Delirium with my party. There was me, a cleric, a BM, and another Barb. Me and the other Barb battled the BM and, although I don't think I beat her (she was a higher level), I did much better than the other Barb, who even commented that he couldn't hit her, a problem that I didn't have. Although, this could have something to do with the fact that I use skills more than other Barbs. I've noticed that they usually do a skill here and there, while I use as many skills as possible and try to keep refreshing the debuffs. Anyways, the other time was when I dueled a BM in Ether. She was approximately my level, maybe one or two levels off, and the only time she beat me was when I was out of mana, and I've heard that usually BMs beat Barbs. Or, maybe she didn't beat me, I don't remember. All the duels with her were close. So, is Dex good for PvP? Or am I just good at using skills? Also, i don't mean this to brag, I am by no means "The best" at anything, I just wanted to know what it was that happenned, so that maybe I could use it to be a better fighter.

P.S. I wasn't using charms or anything in the duels. Maybe some pots, and I know I used spark eruption, especially when I was out of mana, but that's it. Oh, and sorry for such a long post.

    well,lol every player use his skills in a duel just this way, realy good players sometimes use a mix betwen tiger skills and humanoid skills...but yes i think that i little more dex help at pvp, but wat realy help any barb at any pvp is the blood bath skill that add lots of dex,and if u have more dex the skill will be even more effective, so year dex help a little ,BUT, remenber that youre a tank char, if u have too much dex and less vit u will have lots of others problens, like boss tanking and using large area skills to mobing,PVP with mages(less vit make u have even less magic defence),and even for normal mob killing couse a normal barb not even usualy needs HP potions,and a barbarian that have less vit, will have to use HP potions some times, AND, i still beliving that a full tank barb cam get well onto a PVP only couse of his maxive HP and DEF, and the blood bath skill helps a lot into any PVP with any build =)

    I think i agreed with what argetlambr had said, As barb are meant for tanker, you should choose the VIT path (>< carebear), or STR path for PVP

    Adding Dex won't help you much, 10 or 20 points of extra DEX won't give you any gd evasion, plus the spell casting time doesn't affect with the increased DEX either.

    You are still level 42. Barbarians are late bloomers.

    Solution:

    Pump VIT. Leave only enough dex for heavy armors. MAX BLOODBATH.

    And voila, you can do both tanking AND pvp, all with the help of a little buff.
