Imo, no. It has horrible attack, and it can't hold aggro with its initial skills, meaning you'd have to pay a lot to change his skills around. Not to mention it can't tank anything unless it's exclusively magic. I'd say ignore Snow Hares and save up for a Shaodu Cub.

Really? I have a level 51 Snow hare, and I have used it as a tank until now. Now, I bought my Snow Hare, so I don't know if it has been tweaked or not, but mine has sandblast as it's primary attack, and it does pleanty of damage. My level 50 Shaodu cub does a lot less damage and has trouble holding aggro. Both have level 3 upgraded attacks.

I would also say get a Shaodu cub, but the cub is prohibitivly expensive at anywhere from 800k to 1.2M. I've seen the snow hare go from anywhere from 40k to 120k, at least on Sanctuary. Bang for the buck, you could buy a Snow Hare, buy a forget scroll, teach it a new attack, and upgrade it, and still have coins left, and have a better tank than a Cub.

Now, at level 51, the Snow Hare has less HP than the Cub, and can't take on 4 minibosses at once. The Snow Hare is more of a Mini-Tank, or attack tank than a true tank. The Cub is a true tank, and a true tank doesn't do very much damage, and that's the Cub. Mine does at most 400 damage on a single attack, usually 375. If I attack at the same time as my cub, whatever's being attacked ignores the cub and comes at me. So, I've had to adjust strategy, and let the cub build some aggro before letting fly with my attacks, which isn't something I have to do with my Snow Hare.

Cub has 1750 HP at 50, Snow Hare has 1400 at 51.
Snow hare has WAY better accuracy, magic resistance, and attack.

So, it's a trade off. It depends on where, how, and what you're doing. I use Mr Bear my Cub when doing tough stuff, where I get multi-aggro and have to kill much higher level mobs. I use Killer, my Snow Hare, when taking on more spaced out higher level mobs with less chance of multi-aggro. When dealing with lower level mobs, I used my Frogling (UberToad) or Tabby (Ms Kitty). I use a Foxwing of the Void for Flying mobs, and a random level 51 turtle for water mobs.

Killer has Sandblow, Pierce, Shriek, and Boost. All were Level 1 when I got her, all will be leveled up shortly (Sandblow is level 3 already).

So how much would a Shadou Cub cost in Lost City?

I met someone who was kind enough to give me snow hair and I have to say... that little critter sure is cute! Sure JoJo doesn't as much damage as my wolf but I really don't mind because I get more entertainment watching a little bunny holding it's own against a big nasty monster.
