Is Kowlin really good for anything?

I finally had enough money for my 1st rare pet or 2 and was checking out the stats of several rare pets (the favorites, Shaodu Bear, Kowlin, etc). I had thought the Kowlin was supposed to be better damage output then the Golem, for situations when your pet isnt tanking (FBs, TT-groups, etc). However when looking at the stats on http://www.ecatomb.net/petstat.php i noticed its attack was signifigantly lower then the Golems. I know it has high speed for pulling, but that no where near justifies the 2 mil coin cost of Heaven's Tear server. So what i'm wondering is just how the Kowlin is really useful especially with such a high price tag. Thanks.

    The Kowlins desirable traits are it's speed, lvl 4 flesh ream and it's intimidating appearence.... doesn't really have much else going for it.... and to be honest all of those traits(except for intimidating appearence) are pretty much matched level for level by the lvl 54 foxwing, plus you get the added benefit of flight and slightly higher attack(only lvl 3 flesh ream though).

    I dont really agree with swiftlikeafox. Sure, the Kowlin has some bad stats but its skills more than make up for it. Its a great puller and the BEST pk/pvp pet. It tears through robe classes like anything. Flesh ream 4 + bash keeps the aggro easily if ur grinding. I only use two land pets, Kowlin is one of em.

    About the price...2 mill you say? Thats a bit too much. People ask about 500k on Sanctuary.

    It's only good for pulling. :v

    Pvp it's decent because of bugged bite + it's fast speed, but otherwise meh.

    I had one leveled it from 60 to 70 imho its very overated, if i had caught it and not brought it i may have kept but i offloaded it and luckily got my money back.

    it's not as good in PvP anymore since people can just fly away from it.

    Sanctuary is a younger server, so inflation has not climbed as high as on the older servers like Heaven's Tear and Lost City

    Bee is lame, just a 2 shot I got sick of at 40, so I sold it for 300k, and replaced it with a level 34 Foxwing, which has worked MUCH better for chasing down those squishes with the 3.00 speed fly devices, and it takes about 10 hits for an archer to kill, while it's lowering his defense, and ripping his face off. :]

    Kowlin/Pinnaer seem like the best PVP pets in the game, if you can't afford a dumb flaming chicken.

    Yeah, if you see a Sawfly named "AH-64" on LC, that was mine, it's last known owner was "maheegan". :3

    I sent my dumb flaming chicken (level 25 at the time) against a Level 59 just to see if it was powerful enough to scratch him yet. The "scratch" wiped off a quarter of his hp b:shocked. I had to stow the thing so I didnt get an accidental PK.

    Sawflies are weak in terms of defence, but if you heal them enough they can be almost as annoying as the Phoenix.

    Kowlins should not be bought to pk though, only if you need a luring pet. Any idiot can just hop on their flying mount and laugh at it, even in TW now.

    True true, but a Phoenix or Sawfly equal to your level with Flesh Ream also levelled will outdamage you so badly it's actually funny. A lot of venos literally just send their pet and run.

    The Heroes Tomb thing sucks, it's an area for new white names to do their quests, not a pking zone. Some of the more pathetic higher levels go there for easy pking, which unfortunately means that even more end up going to try and flush them out.

    If there were more battles like the Armageddon VS RedHawk fight at Town of Arrivals then Lost City would be a better place. It was hilarious at the start before the higher levels and bigger guilds arrived because one of them had a Phoenix and it kept owning everything b:thanks

    I, personally, love my Kowlin. But as with most all pets it's really about what you LIKE. Most pets can be good for something. Especially those underated lower level pets.

    My Kowlin is a beast in PVP when you can get someone that is focused on attacking you. On a PVE Server most of the idiots who play in PK mode AREN'T smart enough to fly. Plus a lot of them cannot fly and attack at the same time. ^_~

    I use my Kowling for luring and aggro hold on grinding. Plus he's just sexy. I wouldn't pay for him though. I caught mine.

    :s some ppl want just to rip us off i saw a kowlin for 2,5mil recently in arch jesus who would buy it?! maybe my golem is slow but it kicks asses like nothing else, I see many ppl regreting they stopped using their golem and want to buy a high lvl one, kowlins are overpriced, they just look goodbut are good nothing for -.-

    Myself has a few rare pets: bear, piggy,and kowlin, others are golem, antelop sage and a water pet (i am saving my last pet slot for an armored bear XD)

    what i feel is bear is the best among all three (well piggy just for flying mobs) first time solo'ed in TT1-1 i discovered bear tanked better than golem.. and in average bear can adapt almost all the situation.. good hp, good phy and ok mag def, and ok dmg.. but sometimes i steal its aggro easily..

    Kowlin itself, it can keep aggro most of the time, its super when you play a puller role in FB/TT and it has phy and mag def decrease i think its very handy..

    if for your first rare pet, i think bear is the first to get XD
