    I don't mind 2 hours maintenance. But I do mind the 2 hours wasted on what shd have been maintenance but did not happen.

    It's a "free" game. Why should we mind? Let'em bill your credit card for 10 years like I did with EQ and THEN complain, guys. Two hours away from this game isn't gonna kill ya. Go play Xbox or Playstation or something, then come back, like I'm about to do. Persona 4 FTW!

    ok heres a suggestion.... post the notice of additional maint and server shut down on the news block on the client in addition to the forums. i made a polite comment on world chat after tons of complaints that the real issue was lack of warning. another user made it his duty to chew me out for my last ten mins in world about how we were warned in forums. they were very rude and mean and accusing of me. All the wailing and moaning could be avoided if it is posted clearly with the other announcements when you do this. this is my first visit to forums. im not a fan of them. i never suspected that id have to invest time daily to the forum in order to up to date on news. things like this should be on the news block so when i open my client i see it in the announcements. thats all i ask and most likely several others. a huge portion of people were caught off guard. exp scrolls were wasted wine and time were wasted on fbs ect.
    please go on doing updates and fixes i appreciate that we all do. the game generally runs well and when there is an issue its fixed promptly instead of months later like some games. much appreciated just give more obvious warning. i had to find a link in another thread to find this one.

    Be patient must be for a reason and Im sure it will only be better when it is back on.

    It would help a lot if you made the heading on the notice of maintenance red, it all blends together it needs contrast. I don't always see it as I'm sure others don't either.

    Yes I say let the GMs of perfect world do the job, It needs to be done. However the 15 minute warnings are a bit unfair on people who start their escoteria scrolls or are in the middle of doing an FB other than that I believe it is a good thing that the GMs do their job. :-)

    A patch full of glitch,
    Makes my eyes twitch.
    Should i continue playing this game or switch,
    because this is a serious problem and not a simple itch.
    Some bug abusing noob gets rich,
    While a honest players get the ditch.
    Please rollback if you wanna enrich,
    or this game would just be a ****

    honestly i don't see why your complaing try playing Rappelz for almost 1 yr and then all of a sudden when the dev's decide to throw an event and all the players are bragging in world chat on how easy the event items are dropping then all of a sudden you get disconnected cause they decided to lowwer the "Drop Rate" then see how you'll like the game then belive me i'm enjoying this game more then Rappelz so waiting 2 hrs for them to fix any bugs is fine with me

    I don't mind at all. Personally the more updates and fixes made the better, even if it does mean more outage during times I actually want to go on. b:bye

    Since I left my character in West Arch as soon as they come on and I patch and log on it's going so be so empty and lagless for a little while again. b:laugh

    I thought the GMs jobs were being GMs and such? According to the wiki page and their careers page I think, like most professional MMORPG's, their GMs are actually staff at their own office. b:mischievous

    I still pity them having to work so late and then having to work their normal hours the next day. Maintainence means they have no idea when they finish working as they have to make sure everything is alright for the players to login afterwards and doing that at this hour of the morning... Just in my personal opinion I would hate to be one of them right now.

    only reason they need to do the maintanance is cuz they messed up the first one...boohoo..if they did it right the first time..then no probs...anyhow..emergency downtime doesnt affect me too much, although...Id like a general idea of when the server will be back up...I dont know what time it actually went down...woke up today and it was in the middle of the downtime i guess...anyone care to guess how many hours itll be down? I know the guess is 2 hours, but 2 hours means nothing to me since I dont know when it started

    I imagine at least that a GM is not a developer:
    I dont claim to be a person who knows exactly how it goes, but it would make sense to me that these would be different roles. The person who is troubleshooting problems for individual players, and chatting to the malcontents is probably not the same person who scripts the game when there is a patch -- I guess its similar to "the policeman is the hand and voice of the law, but does not write it".

    It's unfortunate that the servers aren't up, and I would have liked a little more warning ^^, but emergency troubleshooting is just something we in the MMO community have to live with, it is the price we pay for our quality of service -- who here likes bugs? glitches are fun right?.

    Disappointed or otherwise, you can be sure that the servers werent brought down so that GMs could have a ciggarette break.

    I just want to know... does anyone even test the patches before they're implemented?

    it's like every other patch , comes out with a bunch of bugs, and needs to be tested again (remember the drama with the halloween boxes being 10k each?)

    TEST BEFORE YOU IMPLEMENT.
    it's the BASIS of computer science and game development.

    just wanted to say that alot of posts complained about there not being ample warning, or having to go to forums to find warning of maintenence...well, they have one now on the client log in...and that only took 1hour. seems to me pw is on top of things, and does listen and try to comply with realistic complaints and requests. good night
