Is AOE that crucial for end game?

I don't mind to level a bit slower. So based on this, what advantages does the AOE from using axe have for an end game BM? I assume once we are at the end game, we no longer care about experience that much. Is axe the most effective build for farming FB? Are there a lot of grouped mobs in higher FBs?

End game, axes for farming would be the best.
Same for lvling. it's been proven that it take 6 straight days (24 hours) of nothing but lvling to get from 100-101.

That's insane. I would not pursue that. It seems the game sets a soft cap on level limit somewhere, though its hard limit is higher. I guess future expansions will make the leveling beyond the soft cap much much easier. I'll wait till that happens.

When farming for molds, which build is more efficient? Axe or sword? Are there many grouped mobs in HH?

HH (TT in PWI) is soloable by a BM and a cleric but the mobs don't drop the molds, the boss does. Also it is not a smart idea to grind in HH due to the mbs being 2x stronger and having 2x HP.

People don't generally "farm for molds" that is extremly difficult and requires a lot of prep, time, and money. It is better to run an FB to get the mold.

Not sure why people keep claiming that they are 'soloing' when they have a BM and a Cleric.. might be in 'solo mode' but that's a duo. Aside from that as dual AXE BM can I could solo (no cleric) TT 1-1 early 70's and at 76 without any spectacular gear I could solo 1-2, and first 3 bosses of 2-1, you get great drops and can easily make enough to re-imburse you for the charms you'll burn. (no it isn't easy but it is possible if you use your skills correctly). However if it's molds you want stick to FB parties and chips from the cube.

I see you are a BM... if you dont "farm" for molds there is no way you will get the xs axe (unless you buy it) because the barb will always call for the mold

true lol,, so far i hv seen, only veno is able to solo for her lvl HH. What's the point for BM to solo it which eats ur charm.
Plus those drums or edges drop at 1-2 are called mats , not mold.

Ray, as u say end game, i might say, there wont' b any end game for MMORPG. the future expansions will keep the game alive and adding new features. So i would suggest u to prioritize your lvling first with AXE.

It is not a bit slower , damn slower to lower when you use lesser aoe-skills weapons at early stage,, and you might get frustrated when other BMs outlvled you.

And, You can still chage back to sword/blade anytime with the use of reset scrolls.

Many thanks for all the valuable inputs. I think I've made up my mind to choose axe as my main weapon. See you guys in game.

When u plan to do aoe grind, use pot just b4 engaging them and combined with sutra, save Chi to use sutra only...
Nevertheless, its better to have a charm just to ensure your safety.
