Upgrade speed of mount?

I have a mount, speed 8m/s, and i want to upgrade it.
I was just wondering, if I buy the upgrade and get it from 8 to 9, can i buy the next upgrade and get it from 9 to 10?
If so, at lvl 11 will it be 11m/s?
Sorry if this is a lil confusing.. Lol :P

    Yes, you can double spur your (10g/pet manager/moose) mounts.

    yes u can spur twice. talk to the pet manager, there's an option that says somewhere along the lines of "upgrade ride" (can't remember the exact words). the window that then comes up has two tabs, the first one lets u upgrade from 8m/s to 9m/s, the second from 9m/s to 10m/s. You must upgrade from 8m/s to 9m/s first before u can upgrade again. and yes, the mount will be 11m/s @ lvl 11

    And what if my pet is already lvl 11? Is there a way to lvl it down or something?

    um, so if i have a raptor, spur it, then at lv 11 it'll be 11m/s not 10m/s?

    :S my panther is lvl 11 I have the money but I wonder if it is worth it to spur it >.< it is not going to change much anyway
