Reset scroll usage

I am attempting to use a Basic Reset Note (10 points to 1 stat) to reduce my dexterity. I have 5 dex, but when I use the scroll at an elder, it doesn't work and says "Unable to Reset Stats".

Is this because the minimum points left in a stat is 3, so I need to have 13 dex before it'll let me reset?

I'd really like to know before I start adding even more points to dex, only to find the scroll not working. Thanks in advance!

    First, which stats you going to reset?
    As far as I know, even you have 5 dex, and you tends to reset dex using the scroll, the dex will be minus to 3, and the scroll be gone. There's no minimun requirement for stats to be reset...

    I've heard that one stat can't be reduced to below 5, maybe its dex.

    I can't believe this! That may be the case, as the game won't allow me to reset my 5 dex in any way.

    I am a bit angered by this though, as a the item's description clearly states that the minimum for a stat is 3. If they just said somewhere that the minimum of dex is 5, then I wouldn't have wasted $2 on the reset scroll. Can a GM please shed some light onto this issue?

    .. is 2 extra points that important.... at level 34 2 points should barely make a diffreance and at higher levels u wont even have recognized it at all.

    2 points by itself may not be that important, but I would still like to know why the reset note doesn't work. The GM's should've ironed out any issues with reset notes before making them purchasable.

    My biggest problem is that I've already spent $2 on a reset note, which I cannot use. So essentially, I've been ripped off of real money.

    I used a reset-all note and it sent my dex to 5. 2 points isnt really that much though.....
