Should I join a faction?

I have been playing this game for almost a month now, and I must say that I am really enjoying it. I have read as much as I was able to on the forums, however I have never really been able to find the answer to the question: Should I join a faction?

I am a fairly high playtime character (between 5-30 hours a week usually) my highest toon is a Venomancer, however I am have a second account with a Barbarian on it that I run with a cleric on my main account, I am not sure how the community looks on people that run more than 1 account, but I know in the last game I played they were looked on with disdain and treated badly so I never ever grouped.

I also don't plan on buying things from the cash shop, that isn't to say I won't, but I would get it for utility I.E. Inv slots, Bank slots, pet cage. And I can't see myself dropping cash for charms and such (which might put a hamper with grouping as a cleric from what I hear).

So with those handicaps would I want to bother with joining a faction? Or even with the Barbarian and Cleric? Or should I just stick with my Venomancer? And if I should join a faction, anyone know any good ones on Sanctuary?

Hmm, I didn't mean to ask that many questions, oh well. I suppose it beats spreading it out between 10 different threads.

I think you shoul deffinitly join a faction!
The problem is finding a good one!
I have some friends who are in one and a memmber was getting herassed by a guy she beat in a duel. they all went to her and defended her untill they drove him away! so there are some really good people to meet in the game and it would be a worthwhile experiance to get to know them!

so ask your friends or make some new ones but get their opinions and find a faction thats right for you!

you could even start your own!b:pleased

    See Ya!

If you are wondering about which of ur characters to use you could find a faction that needs that class. If you can if a faction with people you like im sure they will help you level up your other classes to help the faction...

btw Royality is always ready to help characters grow....especially if you r active and committed to the faction

so find a faction u like and use the class that the faction needs

IMHO - Yes, you should, for the following reasons:
(although, I am a casual player so my arguments may not applicable for your case)

    - first of all no.1 reson to join a faction is FUN! - there is a lots of fun factions around; at least the ones I am part there are a lots of good players from every class and level.. although I am only memeber in factions where noone took the game dead serious...

    - in most of the factions I have met people help each other, in quests and on every level.. it is always good to have some folks around if you get stucked with a quest, or you do not want to waste hours to grind a single mob, or you just run out of materials to complete a stupid quest eg.

    - mmo is a social game and the knowledge of in the faction can be a great asset..

    - lastly, you can quit anytime if you do not like it, so I believe it worth the risk to join some and see if you like it. with either the veno, barb or cleric you should be appriciated everywhere. :)
