I'm debating over whether or not after I max out the buffs to get the party versions of them.

Is it more mp efficient to have the party buffs use on a party as opposed to buffing each party member individually?

Is there a certain amount of party members that are needed before it's more efficient than individually buffing, and how many would that be?

i believe that the AoE buffs are pretty useful. But getting them is based on choice.
PROS- they last an hour, which is 30 minutes more than regular lvl10 buffs.
they are AoE -duh- so u won't have to buff everyone one at a time, saving energy.
they look friggin awesome xD (ele ones my favorite :3)
CONS- only affects squad members, sadly. Takes a bit to cast but eh.
SO...all in all get them when u have the extra coin ans spirit to spare

The first 2 buffs, vanguard and magic res, the difference in MP in negligable from buffing each manually to the group spell.

    Vanguard level 10 = 108 mana; Greater Protective Aura = 650; 108 * 6 = 648 mana buffing manually.
    Magic resistance level 10 = 129 mana; Aegis Spirit = 750; 129 * 6 = 774 mana buffing manually.

But then, the 2 other party buffs, you save a LOT of mana, the MP cost for the group buff, buffing all 6 squad members, is around 1/2 the MP for buffing manually.

    Celestial = 300; Exalted Renewal = 900; 1800 buffing manually
    Spirit's Gift = 336; Arcane Empowerment = 1000; 2016 buffing manually

But, when you factor in the time it saves, buffing everyone at once instead of everyone manually, AND they last for 1 hour vs 30 mins singularly, group buffs take the lead by far.

    They dont!!!

Dont ever learn those skills!!!! WHY? SP!!!!!!!!!!!
You dont have enough sp. You get the same bonus from individuals buff than from AoE ones, only difference is time. And you can always stop to rebuff squad. Mana cost is not really important, what matters is cost in SP. You will only have enough sp from lvl +90 to lvl all skills, before you wont have enough sp. Why lvl something that gives you the same benefit that you already have and not lvl something new?

Thats pretty much what I did, i might be wrong

Learning all 4 mass buffs is only 170k spirit, by lv70+ most your spells will be costing over 100k per point, some going over 200k.
And buffs lasting during a WHOLE dungeon run is something you cant say that is useless, since there is no risk of buffs wearing out in the middle of a boss fight (some buffs cant be overlapped, like magic resistance).

it really depends on your build. if you are full support cleric, then getting these party buffs should be a priority. However, doing so will make you that much more party oriented, meaning you'll have to rely on a party more rather than solo. That 170k spirit points you just spent on the party buffs would prevent you from getting the other skills that would benefit you when soloing (like for quests, etc.).

well, i am more geared toward support anyway (tho i need some restat scrolls T_T), so i'll most likely end up getting them.

Ive heard that they dont last a hour.... like the magic shell thats its bugged and only last 20min... so you better check with higher lvls cleric. For me its a waste. You can always stop to buff party. And I take responsability of having my party buffed.
Im actually the one always saying "hp buff is gone, veno buff pls, speed buff pls, water buff". Ill take the role as nurse almost :P, and when I see buff is gone, I buff them again.
170k SP seem like nothing, but you also need attacks spells to lvl yourself, until 90 for me seems a waste, just an opinion.

Magic Shell is bugged that it can't be overridden, once you buff yourself, your stuck with it until it runs out, whereas all the other buffs can be re-applied and have their times reset.

I have however, seen that sometimes magic shell will randomly disappear from people in my group while all other buffs stay applied, it doesn't always disappear pre-maturely, maybe about 10 - 20% of the time it bugs.
