If you're really just using Plume Shot though, then that's the problem.
First off, your opening shot should always be Cyclone for the slowdown effect - at this level, that's not going to be reliable (since it's a % chance of slowing), but it's still worth trying.
Second, by alternating you can cast one while the other is cooling down:
Plume/Plume/Plume/Plume takes 14sec
Cyclone/Plume/Cyclone/Plume takes 10sec
The only time to use Plume alone is against a Metal or Increased Magic Resistance mobs ... even then, I'll usually still open with Cyclone (especially if it's a melee mob):
Cyclone/Plume/Plume/Plume takes 12.5sec
Personally, I prefer to kill the mob first, then heal myself (if I need to) - but that does make you more vulnerable (especially if a second mob goes aggro on you). So if you prefer, you can always do:
Cyclone/Plume/Ironheart/Cyclone/Plume takes 11sec
Not a big difference ... but that 1sec may still be enough to let the mob get another attack in on you.
(Note that all times are based solely on the channel/cast/cooldown figures ... not sure how accurate it is in-game - lag could make it take a bit longer ...)
As for MP usage - should be able to kill something like 6-8 mobs before you run low. Personally, I'll just meditate (or harvest herbs/mats), but it's up to you if you'd rather use pots and/or heiros. At level 30, you can start using Focus Powder (requires Apothecary level 2 to make), which gives you +50MP/s for 10min - I'll use that sometimes, and it works quite well.0 -
There's times to use some skills, and times to use others. You need to bear in mind that cyclone costs more MP than Plume (They balance out at level 10 though), and it requires you to be a lot closer, meaning if you open with a cyclone you can still only get enough hits off as if you Plume/Plume/Plume, and cyclone does less damage so you come off worse.
The best combo, for non-metal & magic resistance, is Plume/Cyclone/Plume/Plume, after that 3rd Plume the mob will only just reach you. That way, you already have the damage from Plume, and the mob starts running towards you and just gets in range for cyclone meaning you don't have to move, and you get the max hits/damage before the mob gets to you.
As Metraze said though, changes for metal/magic resistance mobs, and sometimes for non-element, as cyclone hits for about 500 less, and for wood mobs cyclone is preferred. Also for elites, or times when you have to split mobs cause they're close to together, and you can just cyclone, run away, cyclone, run away, until the second mob runs back.0 -
so i shouldnt wonder just lvl lvl lvl?
and with lvl 30 it will be easyier?
coz i still dont rly know exactly WHICH SKILLS I am allowed to learn and which iam not, or which would be just a waste of SP0 -
Well that depends on what you want to make, Plume, Cyclone, and Ironheart are pretty much a basic for all clerics. If you want a PvP cleric, then put attack skills as first priority, and the seals too. But if you want PvE, then you should still get Plume/Cyclone to solo, but you should max healing, and buffs first.
You can eventually max every skill though, if you plan on getting up into the 80s, just the order you get the skills makes a difference depending on what you want.
I recommend you read the stickied topics, they're great sources of information so you can decide for yourself.0 -

Now, one big difference is you can level Plume a little earlier, so it's often one level ahead. For comparison, level 6 Cyclone (conveniently just upgraded it ) had a range of 22.9m, so yes a little less (but I wouldn't call that 'a lot closer'), cost 84 MP (roughly 88% of Plume) and did 80%+673 damage (worked out to something like 80-85% of Plume's damage).
Not sure how much of a difference it was at earlier levels - I seem to recall a big difference early on (like around level 10), but that's it.how can i fix that i die so fast . . .one question i got should I learn REVIVE?

I posted a guide in a new post at the top, but I'll post it here too, it's a guide I've made to help clerics..
http://1perfectworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4337#content_start
As for dying, Ironheart Blessing stacks, so what you need to do, is get at the most farthest possible point you can be, and be able to cast spells. Cast ironheart a couple of times and then attack! You'll be healing over 15 seconds, so when the mob hits you, it will either not show dmg or it will be recovered super fast.
As for revive, mine is lv 7 right now, and I save my lv 67's bf xp, so he only loses 1%, sadly though, us clerics can't revive ourselves (I mean, cmon..we're dead! Plus that would make us super super super overpowered..)
So revive is a good skill to learn especially in the later levels when you and your friends are up against high lvl mobs who gang up on you
Most clerics call it quits before level 20, because mana consumption doesn't make up for the little amount of money we get at low levels.. all I can say is, to hold it out, because once you get that level 20 weapon from fb19 quest, you start doing better dmg, and from 20+ cleric becomes..simply amazing.. Plus you're always wanted in a squad ^^.. Patience is key!!! b:victory0 -
I suggest that you give 5 points to Vitality, only 5. Although the priority of full attack clerics is Intelligence, some Vitality is needed to increase survivability, especially in those lower levels that are a pain for most of us. My Vitality is 10 and its just enough, some suggest to leave it at 5, its up to you. Buffs are also very important, they make a great difference when it comes to incoming attacks and are useful to you and others as well. Revive I would suggest to leave it at lvl 1 because it isnt a great priority for us, besides, you cant even revive yourself. Along with Ironheart Blessing, level up a bit Wellspring Surge, its a very quick healing spell to save you from death at the last second, it really makes a difference. The heals should always be adjusted to your level and your needs. Since Wellspring Surge has a cooldown about Plume its possible to spam it in case you are losing too much damage. Plume is very important, max it at once. I've never used Cyclone that much but its better to use Plume/Cyclone/Plume/Plume because, as mentioned above you have more attack range. Thunder Ball I find it rather superfluous because it dosent cause that much damage compared to Plume or Cyclone. Thunder Ball may be useful when in parties you need to heal yourself or revive someone and you can cause damage while doing something else at the same time. In parties you an act sometimes as a bit of an emergency healer with the Ironheart Blessing, Wellspring Surge and Revive. Get Purify at once and leave it in level 1, leveling it up will only reduce its cooltime, this skill is very usefull against DoT (Damage over Time) attacks (especially Bleading that causes phisical damage) instead of wasting your mp healing yoursel) and its casting time is very short. Get the Apothecary Skills and there is a very useful item that I dont remember now, that increases your HP recovery for 50hp per second. The de-buffs will be useful later, in their first level they cause a 12% magic or physical defense reduction, once you get Spark Eruption around late twenties or early thirtes you can combine it with a powerful Plume and a debuff and you cause massive damage. Please be patient, I went through the same problem of constant dying and not enough MP but it gets better especially over level 25. Now I always out-damage my squadmates everytime and still have the ability to save them from death.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
And now faith, hope, and charity remain; but the greatest of these is charity.0 -
I found at that level I had to attack a couple times, use cyclone to slow them down, and then run away so I could get a couple more attacks in. Either than that, pair up with a blademaster. They can tank for you, and they'll love being healed.0

Im a lvl 56 FAC,..and im pretty good in solo all kind off mobs...offcourse..
metal wood fire earth non...they all need another fight tactic...i agree that
the first 20 lvl are maybe a bit tough..but after that it becomes easier..
and when i solo in a spot whit other ppl i see WR WB EA....who killing the mobs much slower as i do....no matter what type.
so the only problem a FAC have is his mp consumption...but lvl your apothecary skill...its not a waste0
