Exodus Guild are having a Christmas party!

As part of the celebrations, we will be holding a treasure hunt, followed by fireworks and social shenanigans in Archosaur.

The treasure hunt will include prizes for the top four people who bring us back the most items from Exodus members, who will be hiding at set locations. Clues will be given, and you will have 2 hours to find as many as possible. Anyone of any level can enter, and prizes will include mounts and baby pets.

To take part, be at the bridge at the South gate of Archosaur by 6pm PST, Monday 8th December. Here I will read out the rules, and give out the clues.

Please be on time, as I will not start-over for latecomers. I will read the rules and clues in full once, then the timer will start. If anyone missed out on any information, I will go over it again AFTER the timer has started.

Exodus Guild members will not be able to enter, as we are running it, and those members hiding will have deleted their friends list, or be using alts, with no friends in their list. We have taken every measure possible to make sure no one has an unfair advantage or disadvantage.

    So there's been a few queries about the prizes.

    The person with the most items gets pick from the four:

    A Panther mount
    A Spotted Skymanta
    A Baby Huggy Hare
    A Baby Butterfly Fairy

    Second place will choose from the remaining three, third place chooes from the remaining two, and the fourth place gets the last prize left.

    Also: If more than one person finishes within the time limit, with the same amount of items, we will judge the winner by the amount of items, then by the time they brought them back. Those outside the two-hour time limit, win nothing.

    This event doesn't seem to look right altho, since all you need to do is to gather some items and give em to certain Exodus members.
    I can imagine someone **** the auctioneer out searching for such items. =[
    This user does not have enough cash to play on a PvP server.

    You need to take items FROM the hidden Exodus members, and bring them to me, in South Archosaur.

    Each Exodus member has only 10 items, different to every other person's items, but as they are ALL crafted by us, and not something we have crafted before, they CANNOT be duplicated.

    I will also have a list of all the players who collects the items from each our members: The person to collect it must be the same person who hands it in to me. This prevents people selling the items to others, for a profit, or people trying to buy them, in the hope of getting a prize.

    It's well thought out, and we've taken note of all those little details. I promise :-)

    Nice idea but so many people do these 'Clue' things, Nice prizes but nothing I'd go out of my way to promote another clan really.

    A number of ideas were thrown around - inluding duelling contests and last-man standings. The reason we chose this is because the others would have been a nightmare trying to organise, as well as taking forever, as far as the duelling contest goes.
    After the prizes are handed out for the treasure hunt though, we'll be more than happy to have a few duels, and even a last man standing outside the South Gate of Archosaur if people are interested.
    IF enough people are interested I'll even try to wrangle another prize for the Last Man Standing. Fair warning though - it will be open to ALL above level 30. b:laugh

    If you want the Last Man Standing contest, you need to leave a note here letting us know you're interested. Enough people who ARE interested will see it happen, with a prize to boot.


    Details are:


    -PK Mode, anyone 30+ can enter (Excepting Exodus Faction members, of course).

    -Free for All style of fight, every man (or woman) for themselves, until only ONE player is left standing.

    -If everyone ends up dead, the last standing player will be judged by Exodus members.

    -Healing IS allowed, but it may not be beneficial, as there will only be ONE player left standing.

    -Once you enter the fight, you are there until the death, or solo victory.
    Once the fight has started, no new contestants will be allowed to enter, nor will any be allowed to leave.

    -In the event of a tie between two or more players (or too close to judge) the remaining players will duel, or fight another round.

    -Last Man Standing will be after the Treasure Hunt prizes are announced at the South Gate of Archosaur. Roughly 8.30 - 9pm PST. Location will be given at this time.


    Prize will depend on level of interest. If there is enough interest to run it, but not much more, it will likely be a Baby Pet. If there is a lot of interest, I will arrange a mount of some kind.

    If anyone from Sanctuary of Lost DOES wanna do it, and put up the prizes, I'll be more than willing to throw a few ideas their way, since we have neither players nor guild on those servers.

    I hear there's another Exodus on Lost anyway. So here's a challenge for you all!

    great idea, just one problem you said anyone of any level can enter but if firdt place gets the mount what if a lvl 1 wins mounts are for 40+(20 if spurred) so they wont be able to use it for a while. thats the only thing ive seen that doesnt make sense great idea though i hope it works!

    If you noticed there is also a Spotted Skymanta, that only level 30+ Untamed can use, but the point is still the same - the prizes are worth money. If the winner decides that the prize is not their heart's greatest desire, they can sell it, for a very decent amount of coins, and buy something they DO want.
    We are also giving the winners a choice - First place picks from the choice of four prizes. Second place picks from the three remaining, and so on. So they can either choose a prize they want, or choose according to monetary value - whichever pleases them most. Unfortunatly, it is impossible to please EVERYONE, so we have chosen what we feel pleases most. b:victory

    It is open to everyone. Obviously, having a good knowledge of the map will give anyone a slight advantage, but we have made sure all our locations are accessible by land and water (no flying), from at least one of the major cities (Plume, Etherblade, Lost and Archosaur) without aggroing a single mob.
    This gives everyone, even low levels, a good chance. Also, if you're good at solving cryptic clues, it will give you an edge over anyone who's just running around on a fast mount looking for us.
    For the higher levels, we have offered a last man standing contest after the treasure hunt, but so far, no one has posted in this thread to say they want it to happen. If you want it, tell us here, and we'll get it going.

    Only a few more days before Exodus has an Exodus. =)

    Best of luck to those who try to find us. Nice prizes are being offered, and a great break from the grind too. Should be a lot of fun, and worth a few giggles for every one who tries.

    Can't wait to see who figures out where I am!

    Yeah i think its a great idea (i voted yes) will u supply guardian angels and rez scrolls or is that something we have to do?

    Oh and another thing what about all the lvl 80 players who will just come in and 1 hit everyone? Maybe instead of 1 big free for all u should have lots of smaller free for alls sorted by lvl. Cuz otherwise there is NO WAY i am going to win :( Incidentally that is what made the GM event fail so badly half the ppl were pking each other instead of the GM making it dangerous for lower lvls like me :(

    Other than that i like the idea and i will try to be there lol :)

    The problem with running so many smaller ones is time, as well as having to get so many different prizes. That's why we've said we'll do it this way - it is quite simply, the most practical, for us. We have catered for the lower levels on the Treasure hunt, and thought we should do something a bit more interesting for the higher levels - hence the Last Man Standing added in. BUT - winning the Last Man Standing will take A LOT of luck... no one can say who will be targeted first, with everyone killing everyone else. It is not merely based on level or skill.
    We won't be providing res scrolls or angels. PK mode means no EXP loss anyway, and every who wishes to participate has the option of binding all their equipment, and storing all their other items they carry in the bank, so as not to lose it. We will have a few clerics around to res people, and it is not far to go to town if you die early on.

    Well.. only 11 votes on the poll. A little disapointing.

    BUT - You all get another chance. Get this thread to 60 posts, I'll still put up the horse mount as prize for the Last Man Standing. You have until 4pm PST tomorrow (The event starts at 6pm PST). Go on, make me PROUD!! XDD

    And remember - be on time tomorrow!! 6pm PST on the bridge at Archosaur's South gate for the Treasure hunt. Late comers will have to wait until I have finished reading out rules and clues, before I start over giving the info again, for those who missed out.
