With the new release of the expansion, we are getting the loved and so hated pets, Hercules and Phoenix. Many have already seen their power, others have just heard about them. So, what do you think about this? :o

Veno's over level 59 are already impossible to beat for a melee class with bramble hood cast so these pets are pointless.

well the fact is they will probably take over 100gold to get, each can't drink water, and both start at lvl 1 should slow down some of the amount of them...well to some degree.

100 zen is REALLY cheap if you ask me. As warrior you have to buy XS at lvl 70 or you suck which is worth already way more than 100 zen /10 million coins

Yeah, however if they stick with their typical pricing of 1g, then those pets will cost 1000 zen, not 100. :(

Your a cleric or archer right? if so your not a melee class. Try to do physical damage when bramble hood has been cast on venomancer, I kill myself in 2 hits it reflects 200% damage dealt.

Veno damage rebound @ 60% (demon @75%) so is depending on your damage output on her. If the veno in heavy armor, she is any melee nightmare

*giggles* At the price they'll cost me... 1g per 10-50 feathers... 9,999 feathers required.

    min cost: 200 gold
    max cost: 1,000 gold

It costs a little over 110k for 1g on Heaven's Tear right now. For me, since I don't have spare cash irl, that's going to be anywhere from 22,000,000-110,000,000 coins... I love to farm? b:shocked

All I can say is: They better be ******* legendary.

1g for 10-50 feathers is expensive.

In CN version, you get one for 880g RMB and thats about 120 usd here. Maybe they should review the price of battle pets here.

While I'd love to have one of those pets, the pricing totally turned me off. Does anyone know what they eat? If it's hay, I'm not going to bother.

He's talking about Hood (200% reflect) not Guard (60%). And Walter, Lyndura is also a BM like you.

For me, I'm stuck at a predicament. I would love to get Phoenix, but also the same with Hercules (to help out guildies with tanking).

    I'm BM too.

Hood lasts 15 seconds, and it has a cooldown of 30 seconds. Meaning they won't have it for 15 seconds.

What I do is start with Aeolian Blade, then use both bleeds, Piercing Winds and Short Bust, then throw in Diamond Sutre and stun with Roar. I wait for the 6 seconds to pass, while my HP is regenerating with the heal, by then, Hood should be already off, then I throw another Aeolian when they get unstunned, if it doesn't stun, then I stack another bleed, if it stun, then I use Farstrike and stack bleed.

They have less HP than us, so by then the Venomancer should be already dead, if not, I use Roar again and let bleed do the job. Oh, and use Meteor Rush for the pet.

I cant even fathom the amount of money that would be required to get one of these pets. Maybe over time they will cost less as there are more of them, but at that price only the super rich in game or people who dont mind dishing out a couple hundered rl cash will have them.. They shouldnt be too much of a worry because most likely you wont come across many.

They eat ONLY fodder (hay is the most common) AFAIK, and after you get them to 999 you can use the cash shop book to keep them there as I don't see them dying much.

Basically the price is set right for their strength, and they eat money. Venos may make more money than most, but you'd have to be pretty extreme to own one of these pets so I don't find it too overpowered.

Apparently the CS book doesn't work on them either. You have to constantly farm hay or meat! b:cry

If I decide to give in and get one, I have to figure out a feeding plan, and decide between the super owning PVP Phoenix or the Awesome tear-thru-dungeons tanking Herc. (No way I can manage both without that CS book thing)

After reading this thread i still have no clue what Phoenix feathers are..

And what they are used for.

Are phoenix feathers only good for Veno's? or are they also good for other classes?

Was it just added recently from the expansion?

And whats this about Herculies and Phoenix? (what is that?)

What are these invincible pets that veno's have? (i havent even heard about it at all and i've been playing for a while)

If anyone can give me a detailed explanation of whats all this fuss is about, I'll appreciate it. b:pleased

sorry i'm still a learning noob at my level b:surrender

There goes the cash shop idea then, lol. So they'll eat all Hay types? If so, good for me, I have some Hay type food that boosts loyalty by 200, then some remainder hay that I bought knowing the price would inflate.

-Only used by Venos. You can sell for profit if you're another class.

    -Yes.

-Hercules is an ugly pet, but it's stats are very good for tanking (apparently the defense is greater than that of an equal level barb). Phoenix is a powerful PvP pet.

What are these invincible pets that veno's have? (i havent even heard about it at all and i've been playing for a while)
-I imagine you'd only see them when they're being used effectively due to cost of the feeding items.

If anyone can give me a detailed explanation of whats all this fuss is about, I'll appreciate it
-A pet's bleed status is bugged and deals full damage to players, ignoring their defense. If you got a Phoenix dealing 3k damage with one bleed, you can see how much outrage there would be.

If that's true, suddenly they don't seem so powerful. One of my guildies has a phoenix, and was intending to use the book.

Wait, have you tried feeding it until it was full and then used the book? Because the book essentially freezes its hunger status at the time.

One person says in another version you can't use the book, but I think it was Cat from here who says the book has kept her Herc from getting hungry.. right now I'm a bit.. stuck. I'm not going to touch anything legendary-related until the pets have been out for a while and we have more information from owners. I looked up the hay and the best way to get it seems to be a 23% drop from some stupid underwater mob, unless you buy the (soon to inflate) ones from players.b:surrender

Looks like this balances the veno's financial advantage, as well as their PVP/TW disadvantage (minus flesh ream bug), no?

Honestly I think yeah they are very powerful, but for the price they better darn well be powerful, at the price they are currently at its not like every veno in the game is gonna have one, so just try to not fight someone with a item mall pet :P
