Lvl 59 skill question

Well I'm currently a lvl 38 Wizard, and I've been looking at the upcoming skills trying to determine what I should get.

Now I duo with a Veno, so I'm set for a tank.

Since I duo, in looking at the lvl 59 skills...I'm wondering if I should even bother with them since they're AoE. Seems like I'd be better sticking with Pyrogram, Gush, Stone Rain, Sandstorm and Glacial Snare.

Get Blade Tempest. Rest is personal preference, I'd suggest you ask around.

I would say spend the spirit and get all 3 and here is why:

Being the most effective wizard you can be means having the tools you need at your disposal. You should cast your biggest hitter first in a chain and it should be a spell that the mob is weak against. All 3 of your level 59 skills are big hitters and they also just look plain awesome!

They're AoE though..and since I duo with a Venomancer we'd only be fighting one thing at a time..I don't wanna end up using one of them and linking in 2 or 3 more things when it's just the 2 of us.

The AoE range is pretty small, unless your fighting in really tight quarters I wouldn't worry much about aggro'n multiple mobs.

At level 1, those AoEs don't have much range. If you are a strictly PvE player, at least get blade tempest around level 1ish to take care of annoying Increased Magic Resistance mobs. Other than that, you won't have a use for the AoEs above level 1 in PvE until you're significantly higher leveled.

If you are a PvP or TW player, your AoEs become quite important for group PvP. Blade tempest can be used to 1hko other robes and some light armors (though a LA wizard is a tough 1shot if they have EB up), dragon hurts heavy armor wearers pretty badly, and mountain's seize is an AoE stun.

Personally I'm a dragon wizard with a secondary blade tempest because there aren't many wizards in my guild with dragon (one other, I believe); it's very helpful against catapult pullers and BMs that move in for chain stunning where taking them out asap is a big priority for a DD.
