Can people using Macs download this game?

Hi. I'm really interested in this game, but I own a Macintosh computer. I'm just curious if there is a Mac version of the game (or if there will be ever?) or if there are any ways I can download the game on my computer!
I'm not very computer savvy so I apologize if this sounds like a stupid question -- I just couldn't find anything around here that helped me with this.
Thank you if you can help me out with this!

I dont think Mac no, but you can get virtual windows ^^ http://www.parallels.com/landingpage/dskd08_3/?gclid=CL7ApdCauZUCFQWxsgodWH-RQw or you can go to www.mininova.com and downloaded a **** version or a version with a keygen. But be sure you have anti-virus and anti-spyware programs to check your files before;you install anything, you can unzip them just dont install cuz ppl these days love to stick stuff in torrents cuz they have no life.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Wow, thanks! I'm not sure how that program works, but it doesn't seem too complicated. ^_^0 -
There's also bootcamp.
Seriously though why run a mac? They're just PCs that are "allowed" to run mac OS which is practically unix and cost way more for the same parts as a pc...
The only thing different in macs these days is the bios, but there's a bios emulator.. lol[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

What? I own a Mac computer, and I don't really feel like buying a new computer, even if it's for a great looking game.0 -

Various reasons. Macs are prettier, they aren't Dells, they come with something besides Windoze, they aren't Dells, they have modestly decent specs, they aren't Dells, they have fairly decent multimedia capabilities, they aren't Dells. Need I go on?
Only idiots buy prebuilts, period. Dells are ripoff ****, Macs are exorbitantly priced but at least good quality. Prettiness is irrelevant.
If you want a good, quality pc build it yourself. That way you aren't forced in to supporting MS monopoly. If you want a unix OS learn linux, there's a lot of noob friendly distros.
Mac OS ain't worth the premium price on the hardware unless you're RICH and don't care that you're WASTING lots of money. Well, you can run mac os on a pc but driver support is limited and fully 3rd party.
edit: and you seem to be forgetting that with a mac you still need to use bootcamp or parallels to install windows for 98% of games, which is "supposed" to be a "legal copy", though I highly doubt most mac users are willing to pay for anything by their nemesis MS.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

My current system is indeed built by me. In fact when I built this system I had three criteria that each component had to meet. First, it had to be as quiet as possible. Noisy computers fit into what I said earlier about systems sticking out. Second, it had to support Linux out of the box. I achieved this by getting NVIDIA graphics and chipset. Third, it had to support Vista on the off-chance that DirectX 1x got popular and I needed it for gaming.ren wrote:Mac OS ain't worth the premium price on the hardware unless you're RICH and don't care that you're WASTING lots of money. As for paying to Microsoft, I don't see how this is an issue or relevant to the argument that a Mac is inferior. Such reasoning is flawed because you, a PC user, have already admitted you don't pay for Microsoft Windows. If you don't pay for a copy how can you expect a Mac user to do so?0 -

Personally that is the same for windows users. Heck thats why half the torrents are jam packed full of viruses.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Mac vs WinD wars? never gonna bother with it.
answering your topic: Yes, you can download your game in macintosh as long as you have internet browser. But you need a functional windows component to play (either using windows, wind emulator like Wine or virtual windows).[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Which MAC do you own? Desktop or Laptop? Which *Era* of mac is it- power or intel generation?I dont think Mac no, but you can get virtual windows ^^ http://www.parallels.com/landingpage...FQWxsgodWH-RQw or you can go to www.mininova.com and downloaded a **** version or a version with a keygen. NO COMMENT on the illegality of this post. However, dont ever run a game, apart from windows n00b games like Solitaire etc, in a Virtual machine. The GPU is emulated, and thus falls apart pretty quickly for a lot of games.
The bootcamp suggestion is the way to go. However, we'd need to know your MAC generation before we carry on.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Not forced to support a monopoly? So what are you planning on running? Surely you aren't advising I go out and pirate a copy of Windows are you?
Mac OS is prettied up linux basically. Might as well use Linux and spend half as much on hardware, and dual boot windows if you can't get WINE to run something.
And as long as the opportunity exists, I will never pay MS for ANYTHING, even if it means messing with my BIOS firmware. They are taking the entire computing industry down a vile road. I'd rather fill my head with lead than assist it. It's quite unfortunate I have no choice (why aren't they sued into sharing technology to get DX10 onto linux and macs?) but to use their software for games and my primary japanese p2p program Share, because Gentoo is awesome. For 98% of the games available? Perhaps if you include all the games that are pointless and boring. I would say closer to 90% if you only count the worthwhile games. Plus that amount is in fact increasing. Why can I say that? Take a look at EA. They're releasing the Mac version of Spore at the same time the PC version is coming out. Most companies, including EA, haven't done that in the past. The fact that Vista is turning out to be a flop and the fact that EA has actually considered releasing Spore alongside the PC version (perhaps even delaying the PC version as a result) shows that the Mac is slowly becoming more useful for gaming. Slowly being the key word.
I can't deny pc gaming is sh*t. The very few good new games that exist, most are on consoles, which I dispise, and won't ever get ported. But I guess it's nice that consoles don't fund MacroSuck.....
Almost all the games I play will never be released for mac or linux. UT2004 was, but I don't think they'll do that with future versions because of lolmonopoly DX10.
Also, Vista wasn't really a flop... aside from the fact that the "security" is braindead, it's got a lot of bloat to disable, needs to phone home before you use it (w.t.f gtfo **** jerk Ballmer), **** like that.
If you have a good machine, Vista is much better than XP, if not, then yeah, people will be pissed that MS forces vista into their crappy $200 prebuilt pc that cant handle it then ignorantly whine about it.Personally that is the same for windows users. Heck thats why half the torrents are jam packed full of viruses.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Sorry for being slow on this response!
Anyway, I use a laptop. It's Mac OS X, and... version 10.4.11? Sorry if this is improper information, like I said earlier, I'm pretty bad at this. :P
Wait, so that program that someone linked me earlier isn't worth using? The mirror-windows one, or whatever? It looked fine with me, but then again I know absolutely nothing about computers!
Bootcamp? Sorry to sound stupid, but I also don't know what that is.0 -
Hey I'm a mac user, on a crappy iBookG4 currently but I'm getting the newer mac book next year. sry I dont know its stats but once I have it im installing bootcamp (which may come with it ) and windows XP and using that mainly to play PWI . so good idea, bad one, wont work? cmon tell me, but dont tell me to get a windows cos theres no hope of that >.>0

PWI should work in Boot Camp, however be aware that we do not offer technical support for problems for users running the game with any kind of OS emulation.==/Senior QA Lead/==
