Game Crashes after loading

I've had trouble logging in recently. Whenever I'd get into the game it'd crash and go back to my desktop.

Didn't have this trouble before 40. I've tried minimizing activity over the whole computer and just ran PW. Still crashed so I don't think my comps overloading.

I meet the requirements, and once again it never happened before update 40.

Any suggestions?

I'm experiencing the same problem. The game crashes, actually my whole comp system crashes after playing in PW. Tried NOT playing for an hour, nothing happens. The moment I start playing, it crashes after awhile. The timing is of the crash is random as well. Test run the entire day, which I can safely assume that it is indeed PW causing the crash. This also happens after the patch where the Charms are fixed, previously was fine.

By the looks of it, everyone's having different problems with the new patch. I used to have fairly smooth motion, ever since the patch it's been hell. Someone else had a problem too, said it didn't happen until after this last patch.

Please try a Verify from the Launcher, and possibly running in Windowed mode.

R200 series chip. I think that code's AGP, although it's hard to tell with ATi cards from that generation. Try the Catalyst 7.7 drivers.

Zeanea, Crossfire64, it sounds like you're using laptops; you'll need to contact your laptop manufacturer for an update, or use modified drivers.

FunkKnight, try a Verify from the launcher for starters. Can you describe the type of crash you getting? Is it just a crash-to-desktop, or a blue screen of death, or a restart?

I verified the installer, the files after it was done, the launcher and then again after the update and it cleared all. The whole computer freezes and the screen turns off, I have to restart to continue. Of course I play other games such as Cod4 and fallout 3, yet they don't have this problem so....I'm at a loss lol.

That's very odd behavior, Funkknight. Can you reinstall the c++ redistributable, and verify that all power leads are connected properly on your graphics card (the 8800GT usually requires a separate 2x2 12volt molex connector)?

Lenablade, can you list the following fields from a DXDIAG?

The power connecter is securely attached and its on its own 12v rail....I also installed the c++ package and still crashed. I was able to play for a few hours today for some reason but it ended in the crash as always.
