How badly did I shoot myself in the foot? (Mess up my veno's build?)

I have two other characters. My blade shown up there and a level 24 wizard. I hate that my blademaster gets owned so badly by magic types and I hate that my wizard gets slaughtered by just about any monster out there because of her low defense.

So when I started working on a veno I was very careful to keep her balanced.

Currently my Veno is a lvl 23 and her stats look like so:
31 vitality, 43 magic, 31 strength, 25 dexterity.

Magic's higher now because I've been adding to it steadily since I realized that stat was a good 20 points below what I needed to use the trial pataka I was given for finishing fb19.

My question is, have I messed her up that badly?

I'm sorry to tell you this but, yes, you messed her up very badly :P

Golden rule of mmorpgs: you char's stats should never ever look this even. Speciallists are usually better than jack-of-all-trades, but even jack-of-all-trades builds shouldn't look like this.

But since she's a veno, she can get away with it for quite a few levels. I suggest you read some of the veno guides on this forum, they're very helpful.

    Thought so.

I figure if I just dump it all in her magic for a while she'll be fine. Might take a while but... I'm kind of hesitant to restart my veno.

Are you useing arcane or light armour? If you fight in human form and wear arcane your build is really messed up, but if you wear light armour and fight in both forms you can get away with your current build. Just don't put any more points in vitality.

You're not entirely screwed if you go with light armor build. Just make sure your + stats are dex and str.

Here's how to correct your problems :

    1) Raise mag until you're 3 mag/lvl
    2) Do light armor build
    Mag : 3/lvl
    Str : 1/lvl
    Dex : 1/lvl

    3) Wear gears that give you +dex or +str to compensate for the 26 points you put on vit.

    4) Run FB to earn enough money for Intermediate Reset Note via auction house. Or pay cash for it. At a higher lvl.

So then here is my question. I'm a level 39 Veno, and my stats are thus far this. Str = 22, dex = 5, vit= 30, mag = 165 . Again this is what I think the stats are, I'm pretty sure that they are. But anyways I'm going stright arcane, and I have been uping my str here and there, but most been going mag, and vit.

That's pretty much a prefect robe build, keep your Vit at 30, don't add anymore, from now on focus only on MAG(and STR ONLY when needed for equips).

I run basically the same build except I have 60 into VIT, i'd like to reset some of that and put it into MAG..... it's nice to have a little extra HP and HP recovery, but I find my damage is a little watered down sometimes.

Yeah, I did the same, I have 83 Vit x.x

But I'm going to knock off 50 soon, going straight into Mag for some increased damage b:laugh

YIKES!!!!b:shocked You're probably gonna drop a good 400 or 500 HP when you reset, you're gonna be like WTF did all my HP go?!?!?!

LOL you're probably used to tanking without a pet now... you'll have to change your playing style!!!b:laugh

Actually it wont be so bad, the extra HP isn't really that noticable, only 1-2 hits extra before my heiro activates.

Plus I'll have all that extra damage to make up for it with, and more mana too b:victory

Personally, I'm not a fan of 9mag/1str build because it's more suited for mages or cleric where they rule in the magic world. Unless you're planning on on PvE, it's a terrible build because you're forfeiting to those two classes in pvp.

Ah, but that's the clever part, at around level 80-100 you can shift points into dex/str and remove all from vit to go light armour!

It depend on how you define your veno. Veno is a class between worrior and mage.

To be able to solo and group well, you need +3 mag per level. From your stats, you could go with light armor build but will need to bind HP stone at a later time

She is a light armor user, but I figure I'll be jumping around later once her level gets higher.

Currently I'm thinking about making it so that she uses a mixture of Light and arcane armor so she has a decent p.def and decent m.def too.

I learned long ago not to put points into Vit for a Veno. It's kind of pointless unless you use Were for PVP. Even then you really don't need it as with later skills you can steal HP in wereform anyway.

Take out ALL of the Vit (via reset note) and pump it to Magic! ONLY put in what you need for current level Light Armor in Str. & Dex. However, you could even get away with being the level below on Light Armor and just use Shards to make up the difference.

It really depends on your play style.

I, personally, run Arcane for Grinding and Light Armor for PVP (& TW). At Level 60 my stats look (generally becuase my gear ups all of them some more than others) like this: Vit. 23, Mag 180 (Hooray for TT Weapon), Str. 78, Dex 79.

I run through FB 59 once a day if not more for hopes of Light Armor Mold Drops as well. Legendary Armor is better than even the best 3* Light Set at level 8.

You're not too bad off but you really should Specialize. Venos beucase of the pets don't need a lot of HP, plus soon you'll get the BEST skill ever called Soul Transfusion. It can SAVE you in a tight spot even if you aggro!

I know the build works in practice too, I grind a lot on mobs sometimes 20 levels higher than myself. I will be ALL this week too. Good luck!

    Gwendolynne : 101/SageVeno - Xyleena : 102/DemonCleric

    Raevynne : 100/DemonBM - GotMeTwisted : 8x/SageSeeker
    Deicidea : 8x/Mystic - Diva : 95/SageBM/Retired

That's funny, I have exactly the same amount of Vit now, although I've started stealing aggro again so I'm gonna have to upgrade my pet's bash skill asap.

No way I'd try to maintain two sets of gear though, I'll stick with arcane for a while longer then switch the one time.

Just don't worry about it, Temerayn. You still got more levels and chances to fix up your character. It's not that screwed up.
