bank question?

is there a way to transfer items, gold ect between characters on the same account without using the mail?

i ask as you can only send one type of item via mail and it costs gold to do so (ok its only 500 but every penny counts :-P )

    Get both characters to a deserted place, drop the items, relog to the receiver, pick up.

    i hoped for a safer one lol

    i assumed there would be say a joint bank or similar.. oh well
