I need help updating

I am trying to update I got the game all installed and downloaded but when I update it makes me keep retrying or stops it and it won't get past whereit had problems the first time.Thats all left that I need to do.Can someone help me please?b:angry

    On the main PWI homepage, there is a red button underneath the log in forms, I think labelled something like Download Game Client. From there, I think you get two choices, Game Clients or Media, click on Game Client (I think it's with the pic of a Barbarian wolf?)

    Then you can manually install the newest patches by clicking the links. You will likely need to click on the link that says Patches 1-40 or something if you have just installed the game and have not played before.

    Try the manual patch, specifically 1-40, as Camryah said.

    for those who have the unfornate problem of the download links slowing to a stop still have a possiblity of manual patching through another source... in fact the fast way to get updates is through another server which is explained in "Installation and Patching" thread (see http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=70202 for more info) it gives another easy and automatic way for updating... or if that fails u can get the manual updates through another mirror (see http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=87242 for mirrors)

    ok i have installed this game and the game ver. is at 21 and i got the new patch 1-40 but when i run it says update fails !! any help thanks in advanced

    1-40 needs game version 1... u may need to uninstall and reinstall then when u start ur launcher and it ask for updating settings check the manual patch box and chose patch server, confirm and it should fix the problem.. plz check back in and tell me if u receive another error when starting ur game...

    ok i uninstalled iy and it went to game ver 2 and i tried to update man with the patch and still same thing

    and the man.patch page on gives me patches ver. 2 to 6---- 6 to 12 12 to 13 and 13to 16 but if i go to the home page myself without hitting the button i got the patch 1-40 and does not work ..

    refer to this page (http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=70202) and then scroll down till u see it says "updated info below" in green and scroll down again till u see the first link available and follow those instructions... they give u another server to download from then the original in ur launcher... also idk why u updated to ver.2 or why it installed as ver.2 but the 1-40 patch is not going to work unless its ver.1
