    The manual patch downloads are now working for me.

    To be honest, I have no idea why - they never worked before they used to get slower and slower and crawl to a stop.

    Hey reme me aryanna , i have same problem that yesterday and the manual patch do like 6% and then it stops downloading. What should i do??? (dowloading manuel patch now and its blocked)

    some say the downloads are working now but were slow at 1 point... well for me the downloads still seem to function improperly and my only solution to this patching problem was to replace the updateserver.txt file which provides i'm guessing another server to acquire the updates... this was givin to me by the Administrator when he was explaing it in the "Installation and Patching Info" thread. (see http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=70202 ) and it worked perfectly as it should be...

    What did i do wrong? there is a chinese message when i am starting up the game, with the patch... Game Vertion = 40

    plz clarify ur situation... the error u received, is this when u are starting the game or is the chinese message something u can't read at all when u are starting the game becuase i have the unfornate problem of receiving a chinese error message as well but none of it is in english...

    I am also having an error when I click the start button and the entire error message is not in english :( I'm gunna play with the settings to see if it helps at all. I just installed for the first time and very eager to play PWI!

    U had the same problem I had... What I did was uninstall and then reinstalled. I actually verifyed my files this time and all was OK. I replaced my updateserver.txt file(see http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=70202 scroll down tell u see in green letters it says "updated info below" and scroll to the first link below that. Then read the directions.) After that I downloaded other patch 32-37 and patch 37-40. (see http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=87242) After that I had to use the original patch server in the launcher then confirm and restart. Apperantly the original patch server verifies the version as 40 and alows me to play. So after that all is well and the error doesn't come up. The so called installing East Asian Language pack using ur Windows CD doesn't work for ****.
