I'm a level 25 Attack Cleric - MP is certainly an issue, but so far I'm fine with meditating. What I'm planning to do (and would suggest for you) is to stick with just meditating until level 30.

At that point (with level 2 Apothecary) you can make Focus Powder (15 Crane Herb + 10 Salvia Root gives 5 Focus Powder's). That gives you +50MP/s for 10 minutes. Which I think should take care of the MP issue.

Potions are never needed unless you're:
    1) In an emergency and urgently need MP
    2) Healing (You're full attack, so this doesn't apply)
    3) In a highlvl party (they expect you to keep up then, meditating is looked down upon)
    4) Killing a boss. Don't sit down when your team's beating up Krixxix.

Other situations, such as solo'ing, meditating will be fine. I'm a 42 Full Attack Cleric, and only use potions in the above situations.

soloing is kind of a huge hassle, as its about 2-3 minutes of meditating per 10 mobs or so.

considering common mobs take 3 hits to kill, and at mid levels you're spamming 100 mp spells, thats 300 mp per cast, and you'll have a bit more than 3k mp by then.

your normal mp regen is negligible in combat mode (since its 1/4 of normal).

if i didn't have focus powders i probably would have quit this class.

but then again, i'm not the patient type b:chuckle

if you're just healing in a party, mp is much more manageable, as you don't count as being in combat mode, and thus your mp regen is still a formidable 10-20 mp a second.

however, meditating in a party is unacceptable, and i'd keep at least 30ish of the best mp potion you can use, as well as 20ish of the best rejuvi potion, as those can save your life, and a dead cleric is a huge problem.

I disagree, when i say "wait" or they wait or i wont give a **** if they die, most people dont use potions on FBs, and when they use, its common mana potions (barbarians mostly). They all expect you to keep their health full and dont give a **** for your mana being drained in half a second for healing people when each one of them is attacking a different monster (happens a lot, bad squads, avoid those people).
I regen exactly 3000 mana per minute sitting, so in less than 2 minutes my mana is full, if they cant wait for that, they better supply me with mana potions when they see me meditating or i will keep doing it whenever necessary. I never meditate during fights, but when they are over, you be sure i wont be wasting potions when i can just sit and wait until my mana recovers before entering another battle.

But usually you find nice people around that supply you with mp potions (or even charms, but this is rare, dont expect it to happen everyday). But you better be saving these potions, because it wont happen on every squad and you will eat them all really fast on some boss fights.

Past FB49, you pretty much will need 1 focus powder per boss.

When I join parties now for bosses, at level 55+, when I say I need MP pots, pretty much you can always get a free 50. Since clerics are rare, people would much rather give you some free pots and get the boss down than lose you and have to wait ages for another, lol. :P

    Depending on how you play...
Some people prefer after used up MP pots, will tends to Meditate for sometime to refill MP to max.
For me, I tends to cheong for lvl or so-called grinding more... So I will just spam away MP pots... Instead of resting and meditation...
For grinding, I will have use about 100pots for about 1.5hr or less... =P

Focus Powder if you really need them for grinding and bosses. Will save a lots of pots.
But in fbs not needed, you just rest, why the rush?
For grinding no pots at all, just rest! Or if you are very rich but charms (hiero).

it comes down to whats more important, your time or your in game coin, if you wanna save your coin just meditate in between fights (non boss fights of coursem, for those you NEED some mana) but its cuts down in exepenses in the long run, believe me, at 50+ buying pots is ridiculously expensive
