Problems with my mage

I'm a lvl 24 mage and I'm finding it kinda tough. i keep on dying and stuff and that gets really annoying. At first i thought that being a wizard would be fun but now it's just hard work, and it got a bit boring too. i was thinking of creating an archer, but first i would like to know if a mage is stronger if so then i might decide to stay as a mage.

Basically you need to 'Kite' AKA attack-run-attack-run and so on. When you get your 3 basic elemental skills, pyro-gush-stone rain you should open with Stone rain, follow up with gush then a pyro then run gush run gush. Or whatever works for you.
In my early days I chugged down Life powders, which is a lvl 1 apothecary potion made with Nectar and Golden herbs. That increases your life recovery to +50 (+10 when in combat) which let me take hits without kiting coz I was lazy.I like pie0 -
Does playing a mage get better after lvl 30 or so? I am playing pure int also but I wasnt in the beginning so my stats are something like: 90mag 20vit 15str 13dex. (I tried to go LA but realized that I was gonna have crappy damage so I didnt because "The best defense is a good offense")As the sun sets in the fire-blown sky, the advent of war falls upon us. I will go, fight for my nation, for my people. I will use my magic, to strike from a distance, never backing down. I will go, and bring glory to our kind. Because the time has come for this war to end. We need to band together and defeat the Wraiths. I will help make that happen. For I am a Wizard.

@ Level 30 it will be open season on your robed azz :P
But as far as levelling goes once you get Will of the Pheonix after you're lvl 29 cultivation things will get easier. Only with melee mobs though, ranged physical mobs will always be a pain in the proverbial. Magic-based mobs will become more common and you'll have a better time against those.I like pie0 -

In my opinion, if you find a class boring theres no point continuing.
You're only 24, try other classes out.
I made an archer to 26, and found it boring.
Came over to wizard and loved it.0 -

Somone probobly already posted the things I'm going to say but **** them b:laugh I'm to lazy to read them all.
I personally have never had a problem with my wiz. I'm full mag and lvl 28. Just use basic strategy. Dont attack element based monsters with the same element like fire vs. fire.
Take full advantage of your slow down moves, especially gush...most mobs won't be able to touch you if you do and dont use your DoT skills unless the mob is almost dead and you need a quick finisher. Follow some of the guides around here. No one is too good for a bit of help.
Your HP will suck but that shouldn't matter alot. The only time I usually die is when I'm not paying attention or attack an increased magic resistance monster...b:surrender
Mages aren't hard to play just most people don't know how to use them and looking around at most wizards, most people don't.
Its all basic strategy.0 -
I actually thought my wizard got easier to play around that level.0

Now monsters have more hp, there are more aggros, and quests are based on higher level monsters being killed. That being said, it isn't hard per se, just requires a little concentration. Still, love my wizard"Amour is better suited to rainbow text, because he is a classy lady." - Nakhimov
