gift quest

okay so i'm doing the Gift quest: Collect scout lynxus egg. and give to the little girl daisy in broken bridge village. i've hunted for over an hour killing the scout lynxus with no luck. any tips on how to get the egg?

    I did this quest a long time ago so i couldnt be certain, but there are two possibilitys here.

    1) your having extremely bad luck and just need to keep killing.

    2) the egg actually drops and you need to pick it up.

    3)your killing the wrong kind of lynx... not a strong possibility but i figured id throw it out there.b:victory

    You need to tame the mob and get the egg that way. This quest is for venos, and you'll get a few quests asking for eggs. b:victory

    With the "Tame Pet" skill you received at lvl 7.

    ah i haven't got that skill yet. never went back to learn the skill when i hit lvl 7. thanks for the help

    I am also on this Gift quest on my Veno. I have the tame pet skill, but it fails every time. Is it just a by luck thing that I manage to tame this lynxus, or have I missed an upgrade to the tame pet skill somewhere ( think it's at level1) b:sad

    As much as I hate to reference this series....its like Pokemon...ya gotta bring the mobs HP down a little before it works

    yep. use your current pet to beat up the pet you want to tame. then de-summon (stow) your current pet when your target pet is low on health. proceed to use the tame pet skill, and voila! egg time.

    ps im sorta puzzled, though. your veno is level 58 and yet you haven't been taming pets???? how is that possible?

    you must have the oldest sharptooth wolfling n all of pw history....

    lol no, my veno is level 12, my cleric is 53 b:chuckle

    how do i get the tame beast skill???
    i know i gotta be lvl 7 but how do i become a spiritual initiate???

    to tame a pet u have to attack it till it has half hp ..then click tame and that s all o.o
