Weapon Confusion

So I started a BM for fun, it's a Fist/Dual Blade dex based BM however I am entirely confused about the weapons.

Do you get either a fist or dual blade from fb19? Or is it just the spear? Will I have enough STR at that lvl to even equip it?

While there are lvl 60 and 70 TT Fists, there's no Dual Sword/Blade TT weapon until lvl 80, why is that? Would I be stuck with wielding 1 sword only? That's so boring :(

Can I even switch between these two weapon species at will?

If anyone could link me to a comprehensible weapon guide or give pointers about what to use at which lvl I'd be thankful.

And I -did- read alot of BM guides, however none really mention weapons all that much, only to describe them, but nothing specific.

If it matters here's my stats (without equip):
Lvl 14:
STR: 31, DEX:31, VIT: 18

just the spear, i think u'll have str enogh to use**not sure**

"Would I be stuck with wielding 1 sword only? That's so boring :("

1 sword is better then dual **for me**

Thanks, however I do believe the 2-2-1 skill allocation is better than 5-5 :3

And I do not like 1 sword at all, so I'll go pure fist. If that doesn't work out either I'll restat to dual axes. Sorry, might sound stupid, but as a girl I'm entirely into the easthetics (sp?) of my character and when I want a dual sword BM I want a dual sword BM...and if that's not possible due to lack of dual swords I'd rather not play that kind of BM.

I also read Fist is bad for PvE is that correct?

some people says fist is the worse in pve(pve = pvm?), but i preffer fist than sword ^^
fist can atk twice while a dual bade atk once =P, level 10X a fist can hit 2.2atks per seconds ^^

Well my axe bm is 21 and my fist bm is 11 or soemthing like that. I must say I vastly love my fist more than the dual axes just because you don't have to spam skills to kill, you attack fast enough, hard enough, and evade enough not to care except on high life/high def enemies in which case an up to date bleeding skill (name escapes me) is all you need to supplement. In another thread I read that once you get diamond sutra you basically don't need hp pots anymore, but you should carry them anyway. But yeah as for the fb rewards I was pissed when I saw it was sword or spear or whatever only (on my axe bm) Oh well *shrug*

fists givemore dps than dual swords

fists give about the same dps as single swords, perhaps slightly more later on, as its aspd goes higher.

basically, single sword is better than dual swords too =P

except for looks, and thats subjective. i personally think swinging two swords looks ridiculous, and really, how many heroes in real life use 2 swords?

1 sword is hard enough to swing for hours on end.

You get a choice of a scythe (in the spear family) or one of the swords for mages, so really the choice is scythe or not. Like most FB reward items, I think this scythe has reduced requirements. Still, depending on how early you do FB19, you may need to adjust stats one level to make it work.
Can I even switch between these two weapon species at will?

You likely will not be able to afford to fill out the skill trees for two paths of weapons until late in the game when you may backfill one. I think a sword and fist combo of that sort is possible, but not an effective switch back and forth as you play through mid levels.

As for a weapon guide, I think the reason you are not seeing what you are expecting is because of this skill-path lock-in. You start developing a path about the time you give up that FB19 scythe. From then on, you are invested in one family of weapons which have very minor differences among them - faster attacks, wider variance of damage, etc. - and would have to give up a lot to pick up any weapon from outside that family. Any given blademaster is usually just guessing about the strengths/weaknesses of the skill-paths they didn't choose. Nobody knows more than you do if you read the guides closely.
