need help taming pet

i am a level 8 Venomancer and i have a sharptooth wofling but havent figured out how
to tame wild animals yet does anyone know how

    if, next to the monster's name, theres a little bear face, which is either green, red, or yellow, then its potentially tamable.

    its -much- easier to tame a pet thats almost dead.

    increasing your tame skill also helps a bit.

    common tamable pets at low levels are:

    scorpions
    wolflings
    quinfu (beetles)
    turtles
    sawflies
    rhinodrakes
    tuskmoors
    centipods
    cactopods

    Also make sure to do the quest from the Pet Manager to get the skill to tame pets. This is available the moment you get to level 7.
