I am a lvl 13 archer now, and my lighting skill uses 48 Mana. I only have a total of 300 Mana.

Would it be smart to start using mana pots?

Because they cost alot =/

    use frost arrow more
only use skills when necessary to prevent you from using hp pots
    have passives maxed first

    maybe this will help

remember as a low level you can make money by selling off materials for the right price

thers no shame in sitting/meditating as a low level to regain hp/mp

At 24, mana is a problem I still face. But here is what I do,

Open attack with Frost Arrow (slows the enemy, gives you that many more normal range hits).
If/when the enemy gets in meele range and you feel you cant kill him before getting hit bad, only then use Lightning.

80% of the time, fighting monsters of your level, you find that they'll die just as they reach you. So, you wont really have to use lightning.

And like Mosz mentioned, at low levels there is no shame in Meditating.

I'd say purchase mana potions and keep them in the inv only for an emergency. Otherwise, I wouldnt recommend burning coins on potions.

The game gets very exepensive wrt learning skills. I suggest you save coins to learn skills.

Make sure you always have your Blazing Arrow buff on when fighting mobs, as it gives a damage increase.

Once you hit level 19, your PvE life will become a LOT easier with Knockback Arrow. You should be able to kill enemies with regular attacks and knockback arrow in between. If the enemy is rapidly approaching, hit it with a knockback and then a frost arrow to slow it.

Don't fret too much about the pot situation. I still buy pots all the time. It's best to conserve the mana for when you need it, but you should do fine with normal physical attacks. I will advise you always have some pots on you, though. You can get by at lower levels with meditation, but I am often impatient and rather spend the money on pots than sitting down for a while.

As an archer, you should not spam your skills too much. We're not mages we're ranged physical attackers, so your normal attack would be sufficient enough to kill mobs. Use skills depending on the situation, such as you're about to die and need to kill the mob quickly. If you want to frequently use skills, then calculate how much mana will be used. No point in using up all your mana on one mob and wait while sitting to regain mana. Another useful tip is to use winged shell as it recovers some mana, although it costs some chi to use.
