Question about magic attack

so I have an archer and there is this skill called flame arrows or something that adds extra fire damage to your regular attacks for 10 minutes. if i equip a ring with a +magic attack attribute will it affect the extra fire attack added by the skill? or does the ring only works for magic spells.     From what I can tell, Magic Attack seems to only be called on by spells and powers that use the phrase Magic Attack and Magic Damage in their description. Archer Spells seem to focus on normal attacks.

    Thanks for the reply...I asked because the recruit badge add 20 to both physical and magic attacks. would be pretty sweet if it worked for both the regular arrow attacks and the extra fire attacks. oh well b:bye
