Armor Shards?

Well, ever since I got lvl 5 gear I've been wanting to make stuff glow XD

So, heres a question, should a blade bm (possibly fist) with pretty high dex, lowish vit, and decent str, use:

hp shards
evade shards
pdef shards

Now here's my reasoning for them:

1) hp shards - good against both phys and mag classes/mobs. the only problem i have with them is, the hp bonus is so low! at least, at average shards. Each shard is about 1.5% of my max hp. furthermore, i don't think I'd like an orange glow. can someone post pics/describe what hp shard glow looks like?

2) evade shards - these give about as much evade as hp gives health. Each shard gives me about 1% more evade. seems useful, plus a white glow would be sweet.

3) pdef shards - doesn't seem very useful in the grand scheme of things. Every 2 or 3 shards might only give me 1%-2% more pdef. I'd rather use them in my weapons for more damage. A red glow would be sweet though.

So the main question, besides effectiveness, is what do the glows look like? And yes, aesthetics is just as important to me as kicking butt b:chuckle

Yes. You can pay the blacksmith (and probably anyone else who can imbue shards) to strip out existing shards. You do not recover the shards. The option has a misleading name - something like purify equipment? - and is a very expensive "fix" that will not make sense for most equipment.

Oh, and I would have said the HP shards glow reddish, but I guess a faint purple probably is a better description.

ahh so shards aren't recovered huh...well.

thats ridiculously expensive then, over 180k just to fill an armor with avg shards, an armor which will last you, maybe 10 levels if you're lucky.

maybe I should just wait till higher...and I get better unique armors.
