Got Venomancer?

Ok, so here it is, me and my friend just started playing Perfect World and we got lucky and ended up choosing class's we really liked from the beginning. She chose a Venomancer and i chose a Cleric. It was working out fine until she discovered her pet, now her pet takes all the damage and i can't even heal it b:sad

I guess my question is there anyway I can actually be something more then a backup plan in a Venomancer/Cleric team.

    Fight along.
    At later lvls, the pet will start to lose aggro more often, then your heals will come in handy. But really, venomancers are meant to solo.

    Yeah the sad truth of veno's is, they really don't have half the use for a cleric that any other class would. However yeah your best method to actually work with her, is to put more points into your buffs and attacks. For heals, ONLY use ironheart, that is the only heal you will ever need really, Attacks debuffs etc will help you both kill much faster, and buffs like the magic attack buff you get much later on, will help both of your damage out even farther.

    venos have a built in tank.

    they have a tank heal.

    they have an hp heal.

    they have an mp heal.

    they have soul transfusion so in reality they have 2 hp bars and 2 mp bars and can heal either of them.

    oh did i mention they're casters and dd?

    they don't really need anything XD since they are 4 classes in 1.

    as a cleric, your buffs (esp spirit's gift past 29) help kill faster, and result in no downtime (in reality, venos have no downtime anyway, if they stagger their heals right).

    clerics are actually better dps than venos, and so you'll have to watch if you're taking aggro from their pet (which i guarentee you will happen after just 1 plume if you're full mag)

    so? your best bet is to help your veno friend kill things. kill a separate mob. you'll finish the quest twice as fast.

    you're basically leeching actually =P but thats what you do when you party with a veno XD

    The best partner in crime for a veno is a full attack cleric, try lvling in the sky together (read the cleric guide) :-D And go archers hunting together >.<

    Doing TT runs I went with a veno and myself as a cleric to get our lvl 60 weapons. I was putting up the DPS on the monster, while they spam healed their pet as it tanked. The pet was able to keep aggro, because it dealt dmg plus was being healed. Aggro is influenced by both of those. That freed me up to do 1k-2k dmg on chintien non-stop without having any issues. When a lure failed, I was there to keep them alive and take the aggro from the magic dmg dealing mobs in there. If they died in a bomb or messed up too much, I was there with a lvl 9 revive to save lots of xp.

    The best duo for a veno, is a cleric. Not for our healing, but for our buffs that improve their healing and dmg, and for our ability to out DPS them. Avoid using seals, unless your veno friend is really knowledgeable about the game. Using physical debuff will help out a bit, but the more clueless people will just see their pet doing more dmg than normal. Which to their ignorance, will assume it is from them and have less incentive to party with you. Just stick to your base 2 skills and max them as soon as possible; plume shot and great cyclone.
