Best calss for beginners?

Yeah I know. You've probably been asked this a bazillion times but, please humor me :D

So, what's the best beginner class for PWI?

One thats fast to level or cheap to operate (odd word choice :P) or both?

(P.S. I'm new, can you tell?)

    I don't know that it's the fastest leveling class, but I've found the venomancer to be one of the quickest money makers there are. This is mostly due to the fact that a venomancer (especially if they have properly raised pets) has very few expenses from lvl 1-40. I mean you CAN spend a lot of money, anyone can. but a venomancer does not have to spend that much. You hardly ever need potions, which can really add up, and since your pet (most times) acts as your shield, you rarely if ever need to spend a ton on better armor.

    Yeah I can definitely see your points. I'll have to give the Veno a go. It's just odd being a guy, playing a female, getting hit on by other guys, then explaining to the guy that you are a guy and to kindly go away... A lot of hassle. Then again, being a girl playing as a girl probably isn't a slice of pie either...

    In other games I would agree with you instantly, but pwi hasn't been that bad in the way of guys constantly hitting on girls. Of course there are always going to be a few here and there, but most of them tend to leave you alone if you keep to yourself. Since the venomancer can only be female, I see nothing wrong with a guy using one, so long as if and when people ask you, you tell them the truth lol.

    Hehe, yeah. I'm working on making a Veno now. Just making some tweaks to her looks to tone down the... "Overly Cuddliness" of her lol.

    There has been a rumor that Venomancers are the best class to farm money in game, seeing that I'm a Cleric, its sucks for the down time, meaning waiting for health or mana to regenerate, plus its difficult for me to find the right armor for my character. Warriors looks pretty easy to play, but it sucks waiting for health to regenerate without a healer, Cleric like myself, it'll take forever to lvl, so grping is advised. Same goes for Blademasters, not to sure about Wizards tho... but I look at them, their pretty a tough class to manage, it's probably an expert class since they can only use magic to attack, while Clerics have heals and HoTs (heals over time), Cleric abilities are pretty good non-elemental damage base attack, metal damage DoT (damage over time, with a cooldown time of 10 secs), slow ability that also uses metal element (not can't use it more than twice in a row, meaning it has a cooldown time of about 5 secs). Clerics are probably a good class to start with, but not really a class that can solo in a PvP sector. They require a tank to back them up... so it all boils down to what you want to do in the game, PvE (player vs. environment (mobs = monsters)) or PvP(player vs. player). But if you want to get leveled up as quickly as possible, try to do the quests that you can get from NPCs, its alot faster than just killing mobs 24/7.

    hahah.... i'm a guy playing a chick cleric, i just ignore them unless my lil bro or older bro does it out of amusement... i get some good laughs out of it since its awkward.

    it depends on what you prefer more, defense or offense. until much later levels in the game, and I mean at least 75+...barbarians have much less attack power than a blademaster, but better hp and defensive power (meaning they can take hits better and a lot of them.) On the other hand, you have a blademaster, which has....good but not great defense...and an outanding level of damage output...far past the barbarians especially in the earlier levels. So to shorten that:

    Both are good melee classes
    Barbarian = defensive
    Blademaster = offensive

    im a noob lol and i dont want to make a wrong choice, I like the idea of both Venomancer and Cleric but im not very savvy with these games, what would be the simpler to play? hehe thanks x Kat

    If your not fighting a boss, a cleric can do plenty well on soloing. as for clerics being weak and unable to do anything but heal, thats a complete stereotype. If you know what your doing and build your cleric right, it can excell in combat. My cleric is currently lvl 48 and can without even kiting match a blademaster in a duel. As far as pking and being pked(lost city), if the person attacking you is higher then you your always screwwed, but if they are the same lvl you can indeed hold your own. Managing a wizard isnt much harder then managing a cleric, as at lvl 24 the wizard does get a spell to heal themselves, its just a bit slow to cast, like most wizard skills. If you knw what your doing, casters can be incredibly powerful and able characters.

    I tried played ALL clases out before... And I found that Veno is the easiest, fastest way in lvling. I and my friend started up at the same time. Less than 1 hour, my friend's level is already behind me by 3-4... Though he overtake me by 3-4 when I'm not playing, but I easily catch up with him within short period of time, and that time he was still lvling...

    So in my overall experience, I felt that Veno is the fastest in lvling. Perhaps you need to spam MP pots though, as beside your pet doing the tanking/damaging, you will be busy casting your magic skill, and healing your pet too...

    I'm going for the Elf Archer. Do I choose my gender for that one? Cuz it looks like i'll have to be a female. Either way, its no problem for me. Altho this is my first time playing a game that looks kinda a bit like WoW (im a noob so correct me if i said that wrong. I'm a speed guy, if I see a street-fighting style game, i usually choose the girl with the most speed because generally I see the girl can do a LOT of combos for some reason compared to teh opponent and can pummel larger chains in an instant. Anyways, I'm struggling to choose between the archer and the cleric. I want to be a healer just to avoid potions and such. Does anything happen if u lev up? Like restore ur health completely and grow stats? or is it one of them only?

    Yeah I'm also thinking about choosing the archer, if you look at the statistics in the game guide on this site, the archer's stats aren't that bad, his dodge is 40, same as Barbarian, where blademaster is 50. Blademaster hp is 70 or 65 and archer is 65 or 60 and it moves only .2 distance faster. Its damage is godly too. But its phys defense is poor, thats why u team up with ur friends. Always have a tank/melee/longrange and healer, altho a cleric cud easily replace the archer in time

    You can choose your gender, and I see no difference between male/female archers. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm positively sure about that. I think, the big difference of Cleric and Archer are Cleric's Healing abilities and Archer's "Shoo-go-away-you mobs" ability (the ability to distance mobs/player away from them).

    And yes, a Cleric could easily replace an Archer in squads with their ranged a attack, a good deal too. I agree, don't mistake clerics as this helpless healer since good Cleric can pwn you easily if used well. I even consider Cleric as one of the best class for PvP... But an Archer is a pain in the **** if fought too. You just can't get close enough to cancel their skill. ^^

    'Nyway, Cleric => nice magic & buff ... Archer =>Awesome pwnage with Critical & untouchable
