hello, I just did the quest call of duty and discver the cave with a group, we killed the boss but we missed one mob. And it was not the time limit yet, we were still in the cave and the boss was like not killed for me . So i didn't get y quest and i returned to the elder in etherblade city, he gave me again the quest "discover" but no tablets anymore. please help me, what should i do.... is it a bug? how can I get a tablet again? I need my weapon...

Thank for the replies..

It sounds like you're talking about two separate quests. The quest the Elder gives you, to kill several enemies and then the boss, is one quest; this quest rewards you with an epic weapon upon completion. The Call of Duty quest, which is tied to the tablet, requires only that you kill the boss and self-completes when you have done so (assuming you survived the battle). While the two quests have similar objectives, they are not in fact the same thing.

Now, as far as your question goes... If I'm understanding you correctly, you were on the former quest and killed the boss before you killed all of the enemies. Unfortunately, since you were not on the quest to kill the boss when you did so, you will need to kill it again to get credit.

Again, you're confusing two different quests. The Call of Duty quest started by the tablet and the quest given by the Elder are NOT the same thing. You have already completed the Call of Duty quest; now you just have to complete the other one.

The Call of Duty quest autocompletes and awards a (good deal of) experience. It's not hard to accidently miss the completion dialog if you had an exciting battle. You can not get the Tablet to start a second Call of Duty yourself, whether you fail or succeed at the Call of Duty quest (although you can join in for other players Call of Duty quests).

The Elder Quest is the one that requires killing normal enemies, and provides an item reward on return to the Elder. This can be retaken if trashed, and provides a very, very nice reward in terms of a weapon

    Thanks for the informative post...

But I do think it stinks that you cannot get another CoD tablet again if you fail.

I went in with an inexperienced group, failed, and cannot do it again because I've no tablet and no way of getting one. No high lvl players will be interested in helping without it so it appears that time spent on my lvl 23 character has been wasted...b:sad

Time for another character then if you want to learn dungeon experience...

Well, the FB tablets only provide Experience Points and Spirit and a slightly better drop rate from the enemies at the end, so you're not missing out on much. You get all the benefits of the quest (and usually an assured Xenobeast Blood) by just doing the FB again with an ally that has the Tablet themselves.
