is this game starting to get really tedious? Once you're past lvl 10, the quests so far are mainly: travel to Haunted Path/Hill of the Swarm to kill monsters and walk back to Walled Stronghold/Hidden Village of Heroes/the first city(ever something), and repeat. The walking is what makes it tedious...not to mention slow leveling even fighting monsters 3+ levels above you. I tried going to Archosaur (sp?) but there weren't any quests there. Am I missing something?

    archosaur quests start about 20
on your quest screen you can click find quests to find out where new quests are
until lvl 4x you can level solely off quests pretty much
quests maek you level very fast,
try to get decent weapon makes leveling 100x faster

Welcome to the world of F2P quests :-)

And don't worry, those quests will start to look really great once you get to the dragon quests. Sometimes you'll also be offered "One Man Army" quests for the same monsters --- I always check the available OMA quests after getting new quests for any matches.

There's also the classic "xxx in <someplace waaay off the world map> wants to speak to you", and after travelling for 3 weeks all he does is telling you "hi, I've heard that the elder of <your hometown> needs your help".

A good deal of the map, in conjunction with quests sending you all around and the high teleportation costs, is designed to make the faster ground mounts and flying devices from the cash shop appear more attractive. Back when I started I thought that 200 gold would be ok, can't be more than 1-2 monster kills when you're a bit into the game. Except that teleportation prices keep rising so I almost never teleport...

My weapons are still limited...obviously by my level. And I never know what to do with celestone fragments...what do I do with them? Forging takes materials that take forever to gather...I suppose I'll have to have patience...you're sure this will pay off? I'm borderline on just quitting and starting another mmorpg..

Collect Celestones and Fragments. "Gem Merchant"s trade them into Mirage Stones, which are used to upgrade equipment. Never done it, though.

Another cash shop thing, since you can buy materials there. Obviously nobody would buy them if they just dropped all the time :-) But as you said, it's possible to collect them.
you're sure this will pay off?

Probably depends on class. I can just use whatever I find, no need for upgrades or alchemy. Makes my alchemy levelling very slow since there is no actual need, but who cares.

Usually I'm always on the lookout for materials when I'm out questing, seems to accumulate faster that way. Of course once in a while if I'm just a few mats short, I might buy them from a player shop. But in general, it's fairly easy to level crafting skills.

Save your celestone frags and turn them into mirage stones for upgrading your equipment level. There is a high failure rate though. You can save your mirage stones for other uses like the Puzzle Cube (Level 40+).

The walking is a pain, but at level 30 you get a quest to receive a flying mount. Makes things much easier.

And of course if you're not having fun, and borderline on just quitting, that's your choice. Like all games, it's not going to please everyone. But this being my first MMO, I think it's fun. b:victory

All MMORPGs tend to get that way. It is the walking that drive me insane too...especially once you hit lvl 20 and have to go to Arch. Arch is so huge...it takes me forever to run around and collect all of my quests...then run out at do them and THEN run around Arch for an hour turning them in and collecting the rewards.

I suppose. It's just kinda annoying when you're stuck with the same 3-4 abilities until lvl 20's and watch the same animation over and over again. I'll persevere for now...
as for celestone fragments, how many do you have to collect to form a celestone? how do you combine them?

Hm... you'll have more than 4 when you level up, trust me... You'll have so many that one bar just can't contain them and your SP are just too low to level up all. ^^

    For celestone fragment:
You must collect 25 of them then talk to Gem Merchant. Go to the option "Quest Related" and you'll see various quests. Er... I forgot what to choose, but choose the one where he asked you whether you want to make a Mirage stone or not by exchanging your stones. The options to make Mirage stone are 25 celestone fragments... or 3?5?6? celestone of human + ? celestone of Heaven+ ? celestone of Earth.

You'll get the quest to gather them... and if you have the right amount, go talk to him again, just like completing a quest. Then you'll get Mirage stone as a 'reward'.

(b:surrender b:surrender srry, forget the whole numbers for the elemental celestone.)
