Several low class games do that, I run Vista, I now right click on the icon, and select "Run as Admin" I have noticed a DRASTIC drop in crashes in most games I have problems with. No promises it will work but its worth a shot.

Same here. Random crash that seems just well, random.
Can GM offer any thoughts, even if you can't fix it?

Getting the most recently updated driver should help, Ashechan. For desktops, Vista-32-bit here and Vista-64-bit here. For laptops, you may need to check with your manufacturer's web page or check out a modded driver.

Kaity, as you are using a multi-core processor, you may have to change the Affinity settings for the processor to run the
    game better.

To do this, start the game and then press Ctrl + Alt + Del to bring up the Task Manager. In the processes tab, find elementclient.exe. Right-click on it and choose "Set Affinity," and uncheck one of the cores.

You may have to do this every time you start the game if you cannot set it permanently through any CPU optimizing software that you have installed on your PC. AMD also has an optimization program that can help.

Why do so many people are running Vista with old DX9 or 8 card? Vista also needs 2gb to run properly. Nvidia drivers for vista do support older card but they were made with Series8 and upward in mind. Hence problem will pop up now and again, heck even people with newer cards are having problem.

in my mind windows xp is much better cause i have a computer which is windows xp and a laptop with vista even though my computer is old it seems to run extremely fine full speed and everything if you have windows vista it takes ages to logg on and everything so personally i think that windows xp is much better in ways of the vista but vista has its own unique way but is a little harder to use

Also i suggest ending some processes but do not ever ever end processes which could shut down laptop then you have to turn on things. A better way is getting rid of the some if the programed files on your laptop or computer by going in my computer-c driver then look for program files then delete some unimportant things from it but if you are not the owner you will have to ask yours sis before you do anything.I done that and my computer wonderfully lost over 100mg of rubbish and got 100mg back! To get in processes type ctrl+alt+delete then go in processes tab and just end processes from then but if you turn off your laptop/computer the processes you ended will come back.

Hope this helps but it is risky to but you do get a good service from your comp after that

Vista does need 2GB to do anything right, and a Direct X 10 graphics card is the way to go.

Anything else is uncivilized, wait wrong subject. b:pleased

Seriously though, you can send us a support ticket here: http://support.perfectworld.com/ticketing

and we will ask you for a full hijackthis and dxdiag logs. Don't worry, we'll tell you how to send them to us, just detail out your issue and reference this thread, and we'll try to help you, ok? b:victory
Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?
