Well, it really depends on how you like to play the game. If you like to kill other people, then you should pick a PvP server and if you like to fight monsters and do things with squads, you should pick a server for PvE.

    About classes:
Personally I have only played a couple of the classes before deciding which class I wanted to choose. It's up to you if you want to take my word for anything here.

Archers: Good to kill other people because they have high attack, ranged attack, fast attack, and high dodge. The downside to this is that they have low magic and physical defense. Some of which can be solved by wearing different types of armor. You can fly at level 1 with 2 mp cost per second. They are able to crit like crazy. My 23 archer crits like once every 5-6 hits. Level 80+ archer......no comment.

Cleric: I find that the priests in this game are decent. The previous game I played nerfed priests so bad that I quit. In Perfect World, it looks like their defense is low, but reesonably low. The last game I played, a level 10 warrior would have more defense than my level 50 priest. Yes that was how **** it was. Anyways, moving on, they have reasonable attack, defense and not to mention that they can heal and buff themselves and others. This is the best support class, I think it's the only one in this game really. This class is good for squads and group stuff. You also solo pretty well. You can fly at level 1 with no mp cost.

Warrior: Sorry but in any game I play, I never pick the warrior class lol. The reason is because I don't like having to walk up to anything. I prefer to stay back and attack because it brings pleasure in my life when I can attack my enemies from far away as they look around to find what hit them. By the time they notice, stun, bam, nuke, dead. HOWEVER, warriors are probably the most well rounded class. They don't lack much, they have decent everything (maybe not magic defense I don't know). The downside is their lack of range.

Barbarian: Huge defense and huge vitality that is all I have to say and that's all they have. This is probably the worst solo class I assume because in almost all the online games I have played (only 2-3 lol), the tanking class can't do damage if his / her life depended on it.

Venomancer: If you like to have a pet do all your dirty work, a venomancer is the one for you. I made one and got it to level 16. It was fun while it lasted. According to most people, the venomancer is the fastest solo character. I pretty much agree for the most part. One thing I have to add though. Venomancers are HOPELESS without their pet. I did as much damage as farting in someone's face would do (it does a reasonable amount of damage hahaha jkjkjk). Your pet does everything for you, so, all you have to do is get a flying pet (because it moves sooo fast) and pick some flowers while sending your pet to do everything for you. Another thing you should know is that fighting monsters higher level than you is hard since your pet cannot can't really tank them (if you picked a type of wasp) and that is really the only time that you spam your venomous scarab while they attack..............O I just noticed something when I wrote that. You actually do decent damage when you use your skills, using regular attacks, your pet will do at least 3X more damage, so you might as well pick some flowers right?

So yeah, that's about all I have to share.....I somehow have a feeling that I left out a class, but whatever, if I did, the class probably wasn't important enough for me to remember so it probably sucked anyway. ^^

OMG I had a brain spark....no this class does not suck.

Mages: Uhm what to say...they have low physical defense and high magic defense. They do a lot of damage to most people because most people don't pay apparent attention to magic defense (unless they are a magic user aka cleric or mage). They are capable of doing huge damage to most races, but like I said, physical defense is horrible.

Compared to an archer, I think both of these classes and possibly the cleric are the best classes for PvP because of the nature of their moves and because of their range. Both the mage and the archer can take each other out at alarming rates because they each have the other's weakness. If you want to PvE (fight monsters) then you should probably pick a cleric or a venomancer so that you don't put yourself at risk. A cleric can always just fly away and heal themselves. A venomancer is almost never under the gun unless their pet died or they are dumb and agroed another mob. If that was the case, then you could just run a bit then when your pet is done killing, you can send it to attack the other one. Yay!

Hope this helped you! Wish you good luck on choosing the character that fits you the best. Please try not to go flaming on anything I said above. These statements are just my honest opinion. =d

Archers tend to be given the short end of the stick as far as grouping and guilds go. Although they are a very good class in their own right, many people cannot seem to make use of them, and archers tend to only be good for DD, a role also filled by both blademasters and wizards. It's also much harder for archers to find weapons, and even armor later on, because there aren't many who get that far. Archers main benefit is range, speed, and damage. Much of your time will be spent either taking a few steps back to buy time on skill recharges, or getting smacked around by that group of monsters you just backed up into.

Wizards are a similar situation from a tactical perspective, but have an easier time finding equipment and places within squads. However, the wizard tends to die alot faster due to lower physical defense, lower health, and no evasion. High level wizard however gets many useful spells which can do alot of damage to a fairly large area.

Barbarian doesn't always level slow, but instead depends alot on what sort of specialization the barbarian is going for. Most barbarians tend to be focused mostly on tanking, so their damage tends to suck. Most of their leveling is slow early on just because few people understand the value of a party, however once you get into the mid 40's and later 50's, you can go tanking FBs for whole groups, getting fairly good exp each time. At level 60+, you become a key feature of every boss fight, every fb run, and can usually grab a spot in zhen parties when you don't have people asking you to tank stuff. A Barbarian may level slowly solo, but can level rather quickly by being active in groups.

Blademasters tend to be seen as the best PvP class, and tend to be the first choice for any damage positions, or a second choice past level 60 for minor tanking positions. Although a warror class, BMs get some useful skills, like a self heal, speed boost, and range attack, as well as AoE (Area of effect) attacks which can make them good for either 1vs1 or 1vsMany depending on their weapon or skill choices. Although the BM class tends to force a "run in and kill" mentallity, in the proper hands, it is a force to be recognized.

Clerics are the main support class, and integral to almost every high level squad. Although you can solo to a limited extent, if you know what you're doing, your true strength lies with groups. They kill, you heal. With a good, organized group, you won't die, with a bad one, or solo, you will die quite often. Being the only support class, and necessary to a group also allows you to extort your group members, or as I call it "healer's privilage" since at later levels it may be hard to find a replacement, especially mid-way through a FB. However, don't abuse the privilage or you may find yourself without anyone willing to group, or a tank who finds it funny to stop using skills so that you pull agro.

Just to clarify, while yes, without a pet, a veno is dead, and a veno tends to be killed first in almost every pvp encounter, good pets, once raised, can survive against things several levels higher than itself. This is one of the reasons why Veno can level as fast as it can, it can kill things 6-8 levels higher, quickly, whereas anyone else would need a group to kill in the same time. A veno who just uses one kind of pet, doesn't understand their own potential. At later levels, venomancer can also fight without pets against things lower level, which means that they can have their pet on one target while they kill the other. A high level venomancer is, in a sense, a one-woman army.
