does anybody know if i can get a controller to work for the game or do i need to stick to the mouse and keyboard?

    Controller probably will not do. I suggest you stick to the mouse and keyboard. ;)

    I'm not sure how practical it would be, but there is software out there that can map the buttons on an XBox controller or other usb-compatible controller to individual keyboard keys. That sort of stuff will work with the game.
