How does that work for the Gold List exactly? Is that like the players that are selling gold coins (like what they buy with real money) or what exactly? How does that work exactly?

Yes, players who sell under the sell tab, are usually selling the gold they gained after charging up zen with real life money on perfectworld.com. They sell it from the sell tab. This helps regulate the money supply of the in-game economy, and prevent inflation that can be caused if in-game money were directly purchaseable from perfectworld.com.

    ____
To buy gold, you need to deposit in game coins into the Auctioneer Gold trade Buy tab, and choose the price to buy at for each gold and the number you wish to buy. If you wish and immediate purchase, the price should match, and the number less or equal to the lowest price on the sell list in the top right frame of the dialog. Then after you refresh and withdraw, you can also see your balance on the ALT+O cash shop page. There must be a more extensive guide on the help section and on the perfectworld.com game guides.

Not sure if you also wanted a description on how to buy. ^_^"

Generally, no. many things sell for less ingame currency than they cost in gold. The only exceptions to this is when they do something like the Halloween event where cash shop items are being resold for 20-50% profit. But as a result of this, the price per gold goes sky high, which ends up cutting back into their profits when they buy more gold. Some people spent millions of coins on the event, some people made millions of coins on the event.

But yeah, almost everything else in the cash shop can be bought cheaper from others than the gold value. This is why the gold value for some things occasionaly gets reduced. There are too many of that item floating around available for less, so people are spending less gold to buy that item. Expect some of the older mounts to drop in gold price shortly.
