Purple or White?

Okay i THINK this goes here but not sure XD

People see my robe as White..but its Purple to me, there are people that see Purple but im not sure why they see White.

    I would guess that it is a difference in individual game graphic settings.

    Wow Rix, I see it as white not purple. I mean I see the purple sash.... but... I like the ALL purple one. Tell me how to see it like that and I will like it even more!

    More than likely they have a limited palette on their computer's graphics ie. 16 bit vs. 32 bit colors setting. A color displayed fine in 32 bit color mode but outside of the 16 bit color range will be displayed as... **drum roll** ... white. So if you can't see the purple, just change your graphic settings to 32 bit color. Of course this might not work either, I'd have to actually be at your computer to find out why so don't ask me why it's not working. But generally this is the reason for color differences.

    Okay, people see the colors on other coats...but not mine...is Robe of the Long bugged?...or is it cuz of me that people see white? o.o Bwaaa x.x

    It's actually white. Older computers might see the whole thing as purple.

    So...no matter what...Robe of the Long is white?...even tho the color says its purple...?..or any other color?

    Yep. The color it lists only changes the color of the sash around the waist. I guess it's harder to note in this version since it's called Robe of the Long, but in the version I play it's called White Dragon Robe.

    You can also tell from the screenshots that it's supposed to be white since the screenshot which has it as white is a lot more detailed, while the screenshot that shows it as purple blurs some of the lines (the edges of the strings that go across the chest of the robe)

    Well i do have the setting all the way down....i put them all the way up and i see it more detailed but still purple...so i dunno. =/

    Have you tried the Verify option in the front end of the game?

    Start the game, select Verify, click on Yes, and let the game verify that your game client's files match the server-side versions of the files. It will also redownload any files that don't match.

    This will take some time. Please be patient.

    After this process is done, try to get into the game again and see if the same issue(s) occur.

    If this does not help, you may need to uninstall, and then re-install and freshly patch the game.

    --- I researched the Robe of the Long, and the only colors that change on it are the sash and the dragon trim. So your install might need to be verified, or your graphics drivers updated.

    The white robe picture was given by a friend, and the purple one was one i took awhile ago XD

    I updated my drivers and nothing....verified the game and nothing...tried redoing a patch, wouldn't let me because the game and patch were the same....uninstalled the game and reinstalled and nothing....I still see it as purple...i remember seeing a robe of the long awhile ago white, but that was a longgg time ago, and i have yet to see another one...so im going to try and see if i see another robe one entire color...if i don't...would this mean im bugged?...

    Okay..i saw another one...and it too was one solid color...it was Black...so..whats going on?...is my graphics card messed up or something?

    And im thinking...is it only Robe of the Long...or all clothes?....so are alll clothes one solid color?..or is it only Robe of Long that is White with the sash different?

    Your graphics card may be having some issues.

    We can't reproduce your issue here.
    Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?

    I think this is my graphics card....

    Intel (R) 82865G Graphics Controller..

    is that good or bad?...would i need something better?...>< Right now, i see ALLL clothes as one solid color, whatever color it says they are, thats what color i see them. If it says the color is black...i see it as black...red...i see them as red...bwaa! T_T

    Oh, Ouch. That most likely may be your issue. Intel's integrated graphic solutions get the job done for most things, but don't always handle games well. Plus, that is old hardware too.

    The last updated driver I found was dated back to 2005.

    Well thank you for your help, i tried those updates and neither would work. <_<...

    One last question...would a ATI Radeon 9500 be enough?...i think thats what we have,...we got it awhile ago but don't know how to install or if we even can...sooo its just been sitting somewhere, collecting dust, waiting for its moment to be of some use....

    If you can tell us what the model number and name of your motherboard is, and what type of slots it has (PCI, AGP, PCI-e), and the wattage of your power supply, and what the power needs for that graphics card are, we might be able to kind of give you some guidance.
