really unstable connection

I just downloaded and updated(v.27) the game, my girlfriend did the same, now we keep having dc all the time. the longest period i have been able to play is about 4 min.
After i have dc my char doesnt disconnect at once and I am unable to reconnect for a long time.

Is this a connection problem? Is it the connection to this area(sweden)? My connection(doubt it, i started another mmorpg that i kept running at the same time to try this and i dc from perfect world but not the other game)? Is it a software problem?

I have no problems connecting but i disconnect all the time.

plz if someone knows what this problem is caused by tell me, it seems like an awesome game.

    Do you have a software firewall that is not set to explicitly allow transmissions over port 29000? Are you running over wireless?

    it didnt solve it....
    checked my connection. that isnt the problem. I dont dc from other games

    I have the right port open and i disconnect all the time too. I can play for 1 minute (if im lucky...) then it dc's

    i got exactly same problem.

    since last day i have dced constantly, im not sure what happend? it used 2 work find. but ofc since last day on my first free day the freaking game starting stop work.

    Hi!
    Im also from Sweden and the last two days my connection been really bad. Got kicked out several times. Which hardly ever happens to me and been playing since closed beta.

    So today i did a traceroute with Trellian. Sorry i cant show you a picture but for me one hub seems to be broken. I get a respons time over 2000ms and its always nr6. Nr6 is the only one that dont show any ip adress or name either.
    I contacted my ISP and they also saw it. So he contacted what he called Second line. Its a support for ISP companies in Sweden.
    The answer he got from them was that a trace not nessesary have to imply a problem with the hub, sigh.
    Anyway my ISP made a report to Second line so maybe they will look into it but i dont have high hopes for that happening soon.

    What would help us is if we can pinpoint that Swedish user have the same problem and in that case PW staff can help us contact whoever needed to be contacted to solve this.

    I'm from germany and since yesterday, while not dcing I've had horrible lag and so did a friend in hungary.

    Seems to be that so far, only europeans suffer extreme lag/disconnects.

    I'm from Finland and I have this same freakin' problem :( Playing for like 3-6 minutes and ds. Reconnecting is possible after waiting a loooong time. It is also curious that not only the game disconnects from the server but my internet connetion goes offline for a moment too. It starts working again as soon as I close the game.

    this seem 2 be a huge problem, as i mentioned bellow i get dced everytime in maybe 1min.. when i logg online.. but going on internet or play other games work fine.


    Im from sweden, and it seem 2 only be europeans who suffering.

    If you're on a wireless connection, please switch to a wired one if possible. Can you provide the output of a tracert to our servers?

    To get a tracert :

    In Windows XP, go to Start->Run..., enter "cmd" in the white box and press enter, then type "tracert pwigc3.perfectworld.com" (without the quotes). To copy the result, right click in the black space of the command prompt, click Select All, and then press Enter on your keyboard. Come back here, open a Reply, and press CTRL and V simultaneously.

    In Windows Vista, it's mostly the same, but instead type cmd into the Start Search box to start.

    You'll only get to the border -- PWE blocks ICMP-8s from going inside for security purposes -- but it'll help us narrow down where the issue is.

    Hmm your forum did not like all that text so will try break it up in two posts. I tried to break it up and it still dont work.

    Its not only the game that i have problem with also the forum is struggling for me. takes forever to load a page most times. Both problems started at the same time. Game kicks me out in max 2 min. It goes very fast if i jump on my mount and start flying. If i stand still game seems to keep up with information flow. And i can stay in game longer that way.

    I still have same problem. Did a trace today again and it looks the same as the one i posted yesterday.
    Have not been able to play for more then 2 days :(
    Both forum and game are **** atm.

    same thing happened to me...
    i can't browse the perfectworld.com nor login into the game..
    but it regained connection after 7 or 8 hrs later.

    Im just a normal adsl user 28/1 connection via Bredbandsbolaget in Sweden. Not using wireless, normal cat5 cabel.

    Bump again!

    So are anyone at PW able to give some answers or hint at what's causing this?

    Im not a super pro at computers but i usaly get it to work from my end. Guess i have better knowledge then general users.

    1. Why is the ping at nr6 higher and then and all pings after that up to your end its kind of normal?
    Is that implying that nr 6 just not are answering to pings and let the traffic get passed?

    2. If thats the case why do i have problems with both your forum and the game itself?

    3. is there anything else i can do to test further?

    Almost 3 days now without been able to play and it kind of sucks.

    I'm from Sweden and I have the same problem. I also have problems with MSN and all my friends with the same ISP (Bredbandsbolaget) has the same problem we keep logging in and out.

    I can load the game fine and it seems to work, but I get HUGE lag spikes all the time and random DC's. I can't play at all like this. I also have problems with the forum.

    I know this isnt much help, but iv been having the same problem, maybe its because i have wireless? but i can play for a long time sometimes when i update the game (like different patches) but then it disconnects after that! and its so annoying, can anyone actually tell me why?

    p.s Someone once told me that disconnections means that the game has a virus, but it doesnt effect my friends PC and she doesnt have wireless so it could be the fact that i have wireless internet connection...

    I made a new phonecall to my ISP after your post el3c7ra.
    Today several more ppl had called them about this problem. Mostly about the MSN part dont think so many Swedes play PW yet :)
    Never good to be in the first line reporting problems. Support have this strange way of always believe its some problem with your computer.b:chuckle

    Anyway they asked me to send in some traceroutes to them and so i did. Still i dont think this will be fixed today. If it was important traffic that been jammed it would had been fixed already.

    Let hope they fix this bottleneck soon.

    P.s Dont know much about wireless connections Fizzyfizz. So many things can be setup wrong. All i can say is try a cable first and see if it stable then. You have be sure its your wireless before start pokint with it. D.s

    Hmm, I really dont think its the wireless connection though, because its fine with other games, just not this one, maybe it has something against it :P

    Umm, I know its got nothing to do with the graphics because my computer can handle todays top graphics, Iv actually just started the game and it looks pretty cool.

    I think i'll wait furthermore into the future to see what happens with the game and the updates.
