Ok so I just got my Skymant and it says I can fly at 1.5 and 3.5 and I know I can use the accelerate to make it fly at 3.5 but I hesitate to do so as someone told me that those "points" don't regenerate. is this true or is there a way to make your skymant regen the hasted speed points?

dont fret, while they dont regenerate naturally you can still recharge them.
By decomposing armor and weapons you will get power stones, all you do is drag and drop them on top of your mount in your inventory.
The higher grade the armor or weapon you decompose, the higher grade power stone you will get, and the more points that will be added to your mounts speed boost bar.

The points don't regenerate on their own but you can recharge the points. You need a stone which for the life of me I can't remember the name right now which you get from decomposing armor and I believe weapons as well. The name of the stone starts with a Y but I just woke up and my brain isn't working yet lol. When you have one of these stones drag it from your inventory onto the icon of your equipped wave pacer near the top of the inventory window. Someone will post the name of the stone I'm sure heh. Oh btw, the better the armor you decompose the bigger the stone you get.

As said above, but I willl add, even CHEAP blue items decompose into these stones. You can usually find them lying on the ground at Broken Bow Ridge outside or Arch.

You'll usually get multiple stones from one item. ALT drag ONE stone out, drop it right onto your pet's icon in your inventory panel: note the low haste number before and after. You should see the number having increased.

I keep a stack of one thousand stones on me most times.

Remember: if you can MAKE it, you can decompose it. For instance, if you're a Blacksmith, you can decompose weapons of your skill level. If you're NOT a tailor, you cannot decompose armors. Etc and yadda yadda....
