Thanks Aryannaveno. The manual patch should be up early tomorrow. We still need to do a little bit of testing on them before they go up live. We'll give updates as we have them. b:bye

    Thank you so much!b:thanks

@blackstarpower: After you download it, go to C://Program Files/Perfect World Entertainment/Perfect World International/element/data/ and drop it into that folder, replacing the old file.

Just uploaded to Mediafire so one of the two will hopefully work for you. Would have done so earlier but had an appointment and no more time to do it before I left.

    Also to Kantorek:
Funny thing was this morning when I downloaded the patch itself... well it looked to me like it was only tasks.data and then was finished. Which is why I gave this thread it's name. :P

After the patch is done the game should be at version 27. If it is and you still have that problem.. Well verifying the game is probably your best bet though it does take a while.

Ah you still need to do the patch per the launcher. The file I uploaded was only part of it (the part most people have problems with) please try the patcher per the launcher.

Okay most people who use my uploads have a problem with tasks.data and can patch the rest when they have downloaded and installed my file.
Unfortuanetly I do not have the complete manuel patch as the files from the launcher patch are inside other files apart from the name they had in the patch. So I can not actually find them as much I would like to.
I'm afraid you will have to wait for the manuel patch from PWI which from latest news is supposed to be out today. b:sad

Np. And just so you know if you have a problem with the manuel patch I'm waiting for it to come out to upload once again for people who have problems even with that. I wish I could help you now but I really don't know how. b:surrender

I'm in exactly the same boat (tried all of above - still cant get more recent than version 24).

What interests me more though is the fact that even with Automatic Updates activated, I'm also in the category of folks that have to nevertheless do manual updates - strange!

Could it be because I changed the default path for installation originally? b:sad

Read through this stickie and see if one of your issues can be addressed.

You all can download a PDF version here

I am having trouble connecting to the update server and/or game servers.

Networking - Router Settings & IP Addresses

    Router Settings
Your router should have port 29000 (twenty-nine thousand) open for PWI and for the
PWI patcher. Your router's manufacturer's website should have the instructions on how to
    do this.

Note: Forwarding ports could reduce the security of the computers on your network.
Please contact your network administrator or a qualified network technician for further
    information.

Third-party assistance on configuring popular routers can be found at
http://www.portforward.com/ (Note: Not affiliated nor supported by Perfect World
    Entertainment).

Most router manufacturers also offer guides and additional information on their websites,
in the included documentation, or on the installation CD that came with the router.

Note: On most routers, the brand and model number is on or near, the serial number
shown on the bottom of the device.

    IP Addresses
You may need to make changes to the software for your router, antivirus software,
security software, and/or firewall software in order to allow for your computer to
communicate and send data back and forth to the IP addresses for the PWI game servers
    and patch servers listed below.

If you are located at a university and are having trouble accessing the internet, contact
your IT or System Administrators for the school network. Some universities block internet
traffic and/or restrict it. Ask them to prioritize the traffic for your internet connection and give
them the IP addresses listed below and port 29000.

Note: Please read the documentation or help files that accompany your
antivirus/security/firewall software. You can also research the software
developers websites that made your software and check to see if they have
guides and information about how to change the settings in your software.

    Networking - Bypassing Your Router

In some circumstances, you may have to bypass your router, and directly connect your
computer to the cable or DSL modem.
Before doing so, make sure that you have installed and run antivirus/security software on
    your computer.

You will need an Ethernet cable (in the US, called the Category 5e networking cable) to
connect your computer to the cable or DSL modem. The cable you might need (depending
on your network setup) will have a male plug on both ends.
One end will plug into your Ethernet/Internet/WAN (or similar) port on your computer
and the other end will plug into the Internet/RESNET/WAN (or similar) port on your cable
    or DSL modem.

Note: Please read the documentation or help files that accompany your
    antivirus/security/firewall software.

That is normally a help to fix that.

I will give that a try and see if it will work, it can run while I am at Karate tonight. Hopefully I can manage my way through it. I still havent downloaded the fix to get it where I can read the start screen lol I keep forgetting to ask Jorg to do it. So I will try that now.
