I never even really knew what the Dragon quests were until recently so i decided to try and start them up. I'm lvl 45. I did the part starting with Mr. Yeh and now the Dragon Quest Director is offering me a Dragon quest but it's the lvl 20 version.

People have told me that I should be able to skip to a level 41 Dragon Quest instead but he doesn't give me that option. Do i have to complete the level 20 / 31 versions at least once to gain access to the later version or is there something else I'm missing?

I think you do I was level 30 something when I did the 20 something quest then 31 and 41 both came up at the same time after that, though I think there is some randomity to it all.

No, the Mr.Yeh and ChiuNiu's DQ is the STARTING DQ quest, so in order to get the DQ you need, you'll have to complete the lvl 20 DQ.

Hope this clears up the misunderstandings.

Can be expensive and it isnt masses of xp and you tend to find you have to port around a bit but every so often when I have the money spare I will simply buy some of them for one of the 3 DQ's I currently have and do a bit.

I do them a lot, I like the exp I get from them. Farm the mats, fly to the locations. If you do them with your other quests, won't cost you a bit. b:victory

i do each DQ at least once, and if i see i have some more mats and no more quests i re-do.
the reward is not bad, some ppl rly need the sp. As for teleporting, just fly around, sure, it takes longer, but you can tab out and do other stuff while u fly to the places.

Usually you would get enough mats to do a DQ at least once without having to farm constantly at an enemy

if doing DQ's not your thing, selling the mats to ppl who do them is still an option, a lot of ppl need some and dont want to bother farming.

UNless you are someone who really can concentrate on DQ, then I suggest don't do it...
It's not worth it, and the time taken is slow, and the rewards (ie: xp and skill point) aren't that great. While in low level, perhaps doing 3-4 DQ quest might get you lvled... But at higher level (Says 30 and above), the rewards aren't that huge enough to let you lvl up...

And again, unless you have the fastest mount, like BOA or any other fast flying weapon/beast/wings, it may took really long time for you to complete a DQ quest... as you need to go from North to South, or East to West...

Dragon gold, Silver, and Bronze all those 'token' given by Dragon Director after you finish one dragon quest. Eg: Lvl 20-30 DQ is Bronze token. Lvl 40-50 (I think) is silver.. And 50 and above are Gold... If I'm not wrong, you need 10 silver and 20 bronze to get a mold....
So whether is worth it or not? Is up to you to decide =)

The person who give the DQ quest, is call 'Dragon Director'. It can be found in every newbies town. Or should say the town where Jolly Jones is in, during the Halloween event. To make it shorter and simple, its the town where you first create and start your very first quest...
