Just so you know I am really an archer but I cant get that avatar to work so I am using this one. Anyway I can never find ANY cotton thread and now, as an archer, I cant find animal fur. I can find enough logs iron etc. but no cotton thread or animal fur. So I want to know if crafting is really worth the effort? Thanksb:thanks

animal fur - prairie wolf, arboreal vassal, coral viper, kraito
cotton thread - vortex crawler monarch, hideous ursog, seduced elf

**other creeps may drop the aforementioned, but this is limited to my personal observation.

So far I find that the manufacturing skills are just barely worth the effort.

May I suggest http://www.pwdatabase.com/ ? It's not official, and it's not perfect, but it's a good tool until you've got a grasp on what drops what.

As for crafting... the early Apocathery stuff is a lifesaver. The craftsman gets a bit 'meh', but the other equipment options are pretty reliably useful.

    Thanks guys.
    As for apocathary, I don't see why everybody makes a big deal out of it;
you need like 30 nectar and 20 saliva root for 1 lvl 1 item!b:shocked

You get 5 pieces of the item usually at one craft. And yes, they do make a difference in how much you spend on pots or how much your charm ticks. And there are some really good items for special situations.

    Use them and you see.

Ok, I did try the apothecary and it turns you need 15 nectar & 10 saliva root. But also Ive heard that some high level weapons/armor are only available through crafting, is this true?

Twilight Hall items at lvl60+ must be crafted as far as i know. So must be all legendary items from molds.

Not sure does that cover all items.

Raise your crafts unless you have a trusted friend to do it for you.

Just to generally make your leveling easier, 2 star items which you can get through crafting, help a lot.

Full 2 star equips does wonders if you are unlucky in dungeon runs and dont get any 3 star or molds.
Of course you can also get lucky in crafting and make a 3 star item.

At first, crafting isn't really interesting and crafting items are hard to find. b:tired
But later on in the game, crafting items drop ALL THE TIME, and if you have a good crafting level, you can make your own 3 stars items. b:victory
Franckly, I stick to 2 or 3 stars items all home made. I even craft stuff for friends b:cute
And another good point is to sell these items. Make good money b:cool

if you want to make a good friend in a low level barbarian, toss him a few chaos powders. Apoth skill does wonders for lowbies as far as money is concerned, well low money but money all the same for more than enough to keep you going.

I would say so far financially levelling crafting is not worth it for tailor craftsman and blacksmith and its time consuming to shop around. I spent so much money on materials so far to get to level 4 skill. I would easily have millions to buy great gear in stands if i had not bought any materials and sold the drops i got. I do cause i like the challenge and i like making my gear. If it pays off later great, if not, that's cool too.

u make money when you dont buy ur materials and sell the stuff you make...buying mats to make things usually are never profitable unless your making it for your own (and you dont plan to sell it....but in that case its just 1 set)

i had to go back to lvl 1-10 areas to farm grease and mine stupid pig irons cause i sold them....sucks ut....hey i managed to trade a decent heap with storage quest items :D so i only wasted an hour....still lvl 1 lol
