Please help me

Okay I'm new so please explain to me this Zen thing. So I have heard of Zen and how it is obtainable without the use of real money. This is where I get confused is Zen the gold and silver coins used to obtain items from the shop icon thats below the mini map? If it is i already know how to get silver coins but not gold coins can you trade for gold or does some many silver coins equal one gold coin? Could some one please explain this to me please.

    Gold and Silver can be purchased with in-game coins. Zen can't be obtained outside of the use of real money, excluding special cases like the Referal system. It may seem like a moot point, but Zen is the name of the currency before it's transfered to a server; Gold bought on one server can not be transfered to another, while Zen can be transfered to any one server. Once zen is transfered to a server, it's automatically turned into Gold and Silver.

    Gold and Silver is the currency of the Cash Shop ("o" key, or the sun icon under the minimap). 1 Gold is equal to 100 Silver, and the game will automatically exchange them if you end up with more than 99 Silver or need to break a piece of Gold in half.
