Hotkeys don't work

Hello.

For some reason, only my F1 hotkey works, but F2-F8 won't work. I've assigned various shortcuts to the keys, and no matter what the shortcuts were, only F1 worked. I checked my keyboard, and the keys are still functional elsewhere. This is really frustrating, since I'm playing as a Cleric and I obviously need more hotkeys than just F1.

Is there any way to fix this?

    Have you tried using your mouse to click on the skills? I just want to know if that worked. And which kind of keyboard do you have? QWERTY?

    How to change your keyboard language - AZERTY versus QWERTY.

    If you have a reversed keyboard, you can make use of the language option on your computer to change this option. Directions may be different for Vista. These are XP directions.

    Step 1: Go to the Start button and open Control Panel
    Step 2: Choose the option Clock, Language and Region
    Step 3: Select Regional and Language Options and in the Installed Services section, click Add
    Step 4: If your keyboard is set to French (AZERTY) change it to English US/UK and if your keyboard is set to an English language (QWERTY), change the language to French (AZERTY).
    Step 5: In the Keyboard section, choose QWERTY or AZERTY and apply the changes by clicking OK

    Yes, clicking on the icons does work, but I find it very tedious compared to some quick-handed key pressing.

    My keyboard is QWERTY, sorry for having you explain something for nothing. ( ^__^ ) ;; Just to clarify, all my keys are functional except for F2-F8.

    That's odd behavior. If you have a Chat Cursor active, what happens when you press F2?

    I could tell you, but could you clarify what you mean by "Chat Cursor"? The bar thing that flashes on the Chat Box when I hit "Enter"?

    Ah, yes. The vertical bar that flashes when the Chat Box has control of keyboard inputs like W or B.

    In that case, nothing happens.

    So it's at least reading them as modifier keys, if it's reading them at all. Does going to Windowed mode change this behavior?

    My suggestion, if you have another keyboard handy, try it. If the keys work then, it is probably just a faulty/broken keyboard.

    I always use Windowed mode, since I am a multitasker. However, I can check to see if switching to Fullscreen would have any effect, if you'd like.

    EDIT: I tried changing it to Fullscreen, and F2-F8 still aren't functional.

    Thanks for the suggestion, but I've already stated that my F2-F8 keys worked outside of Perfect World. I've tested them with my internet browser and various online games. Furthermore, I take good care of my equipment, so hardware issues is the last thing on my mind.

    Can you see if using your On-Screen Keyboard (Start->Ease of Access) works for selecting F2-F8? If so, it might possibly be a keyboard hardware issue. Please try using another keyboard. If the other keyboard or the On-Screen Keyboard does not work, it could be a game setting. This information will be helpful when submitting a ticket to Tech Support.
