pig iron

i need some pig iron for the blacksmith quest. can any one give me some help in finding some?

    It can be gained from clicking an Iron Mine, looks like a few rocks in a pile, as long as you have a Pickaxe in your inventory. They spawn all over the place in sub-25 areas. Just wander around, keep an eye out, and you should spot them.

    by sub 25 you mean areas meant to be used by players under 25 right?

    Yep. You can find some in areas with monsters higher level than that, but you also start running into Dark Iron Mines (high-carbon iron), so it gets a lot slower for higher level spots.

    that is wrong pig iron in the iron mines is almost rare to find ive been searching for 5 hours for it my self if i was a elf instead of human id have no problem cause elfs can go farther then humans ...with the flying and all

    Not true I am a barb and i collected enough pig iron, sandstone, etc to get all of my crafting up to level 2 in two days. The only thing i bought was jade. You just have to look in mob populated areas.

    You should get at least one pig iron from an iron mine, you still have the tool you need for the crafting quest? Did you get attacked while digging? Check the messages window.
    If you can't find Mines, look around for it in area's with fewer players, or at odd times of the day - and don't fly to high.

    Well, is there much Pig Iron in Ethervale? Couse I have been looking for awhile now and I only found two mines, and I don't want to travel that much for Smithing.
