i think ever class should get to choose what flying mount they want
like as a human i want to have a mount like the two headed dragon instead of the sword
were paying for the mounts so why cant we choose b:cry

I agree completely. This is a spectacular game design overall, but as I just said in my previous post... it is a bit too constrictive and limiting when it comes to things to do with the professions.0

I think the swords are pretty lame, I mean come on? A sword? Winged Elves get wings *duh*, Untamed get Stingray's and birds (the do tame ANIMALS after all), Humans get a shiny hunk of steel. =\
Plus, it doesn't make since that a blademaster can fly on the sword, at least the Mage MIGHT by controlling to sword magically (Kinda like a broomstick, haha), but a blademaster? I'm sure he isn't such a master that he can fly on his weapon, lol.
Of course, I don't really have a suggest as to why humans would fly on, I sure don't want any creepy flying machine lol.
So yeah, doesn't anyone have suggestions on a new human flying mount? I'd kinda like to fly on a big flamey phoenix.

Umm flying mount for human... hows about a magic carpet, a cloud (GOKU!!!), they could transform into a mount (eg. turn into a bird or dragon or something).
I think perhaps blademaster and wizard should have different types of mounts.
Blademaster mounts could be the stuff above.
Wizard: bubble of water, a fireball, a electricuted metal plate (something like Magneto from X-men) or something elemental.
The thing is, the 2 human job clases are so totally different, it doesn't make sence for them to both ride swords but I think the swords are kind of cool looking (being a Veno I sometimes want to ride a cool looking sword (except I love the STINGRAY!!!!))b:cold*

a nimbus cloud (like in Dragon Ball)
A magical leaf/flower
elements (a gust of wind, a wave of water, a flame, a floating island, etc.)
a winged horse/unicorn (Pegasus)
a giant bee or flying insect
dinosaurs (variable types)
birds (variable types)
magical inanimate objects like the classical carpet, surf board, rocket, etc.
A magical bubble
Please be creative and add to this list! But also think realistically so as not to confuse the creators (nothing like flying pink elephants or flying pigs (which may be cool ideas in themselves but more difficult).b:cold*

Mounts are great, but as many have said, its too limited.
Any race should be able to use either the "flying sword" or an animal, including winged elves. Its a fun feature and most people probably look forward to flying on some dragon or other beast only to find out their stuck on a sword or with some wings.
I was disapointed to find out my blademaster will never fly on anything but a sword, i was looking forward to a winged beast of somesort.
They should atleast have something like wing accesories for the elves and a bigger variety of flying swords (flying axes?) for the humans.
Realy though it should be full access for every one, obviously wings would only be for the "winged elves" but anyone should be able to ride anything. It should be a mater of availability, buy flying swords from etherblade and animals from lost city(or w.e the untamed place is called).
This is a new game so its probably just a matter of time constraints, im sure more will come out in the future in regards to mounts, they'll probably add more classes too.0 -
Lol wouldn't it be funny if you get this mount "Cape" and it looks like you have a cape on and you fly like Super Man! LOL that'd be funny, then they could integrate the glitch that sometimes when you activate your flying mount, its invisible. LOLzb:cold*

As far as I know there will be the flying insects you mentioned, more bird mounts. But other than that, I have no clue if those other mounts are even a possibility. Would be cool though. 0 -

Instead of choosing different mount... Preferable to self made own mount... It will be more fun... =D

But the customizable mount would be pretty laggy. I mean if there were several options to choose from people would be like "OO I will make my pet have a HUGE head and a HUGE body so that when I'm in town I cover all the NPCs and everyone would be like "LOL move dude!""

you said flying insect, later in the game werebeasts get to ride dragonflies
and for dinosaurs, there are raptors already in the game.
Birds? also later in the game for werebeasts but there is a goose in the game already.

Yeah there's nothing specific they really need to do... the mount system in general needs to be completely expanded. I like the idea of availability someone mentioned. That would work really well

You are so awesome, you win just for that one. I would love to have a flying horse. Someone mentioned a phoenix and later on the untamed get a huge phoenix flying mount for lvl 80. They already have this mount in My-En.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I play as a blademaster and could not find the sword to be much more lame and boring. I hate it with a flaming passion. -___- I'd buy wings for my blademaster and ill NEVER spend money on a sword. I'd rather take 30 minutes to cross the map then spend 20 dollars on something faster that I hate. **** that.
Most days I just wish my guy would lose his balance and fall off because he should, he stands on that thing like a **** acrobat protected from bad balance by a gracious mage with a lot of time on it's hands. Bugs me.

I would really like a pegasus, preferrably one where it can be used on the ground and in the air and when I have to fight my character would stand in the saddle. Now THAT is a mount I would pay 30+ USD for.0 -
I think you people are right and that Devs should enable universal use of Aircrafts even if that would mean to do some insane quest 2 times harder than the Chrono Key one.
Eventually, devs would make more revenue on selling just wings but the fact I think is that venos and barbs for example dont have option to really RIDE the aircraft (IN case of a bird for example and the some dragons etc) so that is looking very unreal and I can say a bit ugly (for me at least).
Oh and one more thing, in case of all aircrafts its very dull not to see any of those ANYWHERE in PWI world. You can see some Horses around but you cant see any other Mount/Aircraft in PWI somewhere wich would enable you to see where it comes from. At bottom line devs may enable us to use any PWI creature eventually as a potential Aircraft/Mount - that would be the best (and its not much of a job for devs, just place players on top of creatures and its done)Fortune favors the brave
