Patch not working!!!!!! =[

i have greatly looked foward to playing this . however, there is one problem. my patch always gets stuck on iconlist_guild.dds even when downloading the patch through this website, it stilldoesnt work!!!

plz help me!

    What you are saying that it DOESNT work if you download and install manually? That sounds weird since it will start the download/update through the game client.

    INSTRUCTIONS ON PATCHING THE GAME
    1) After you start the launcher, the Auto Update menu will come up and prompt you to select the patch server to download the patch from if a patch is available. Then it will automatically prompt you to auto-update. Select Confirm.
    2) The game will start downloading the patch files, and then apply them to the game. After this process is complete, you will be able to click Start and begin logging in to the game.
    3) If you are having issues with the auto-patching process where it seems to hang for 5-10 minutes, exit the launcher. Restart the launcher and Continue (do not Restart) the download/patch and see if it completes more or all of the download. This may take a few tries.



    MANUAL PATCH INFORMATION
    Depending on the version of your current client, you may have to download more than just the new 15-16 manual patch. For example, if you currently have version 8 of the game, you will have to download patches 8-13, 13-15, and 15-16.

    You can obtain the latest manual patches at http://www.perfectworld.com/download/client#manualpatch

    To install the manual patch, simply double-click the file and the patcher will install it, then close.



    IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS UPDATING...

    In order to help us work out the errors that are preventing people from patching, please reply to this e-mail with the following:

    1. copies of the following files (no screenshots of them please)
    o \config\element\update.log
    o \config\element\version.sw
    o \config\patcher\update.cfg

    2. A screenshot of where the patcher is pausing for you (please submit a jpeg and not a bitmap photo)

    3. A screenshot of your traceroute to our patch server, 64.74.217.11

    How to perform a traceroute:

    1) In XP, click on Start > click on Run > type in "cmd"
    2) On this screen type in (exactly as it is typed here): tracert 64.74.217.11
    Please note there is a space between "tracert" and "64.74.217.11"
    3) Wait until it bring a message back and a full log. Maximize (enlarge) the window as large as it will go and hopefully all of the text will be able to fit into the screen.
    4) Press Prnt Scrn (print screen) on your keyboard. Open mspaint.exe (Start > All Programs > Accessories > Paint)
    5) Click on the dotted line box at the top of the left menu to select a section > Click on the white space and press Ctrl+P to paste the image you grabbed with Prtn Scrn
    6) Save it where you can find it, as a .JPG image.

    7) Include in the body of your e-mail what Internet Service Provider you are using and what part of the world you are trying to connect from.

    well, it starts out fine, getting through elements and tasks but when it gets to the iconlist, an error comes up that says update files corupted. i have tried redownloading the manual patch many times, but it still doesnt work

    Can you connect properly to the patchservers like they don't interrupt themselfs? That is why I also put the link in :)

    i used the link that you provided, but when i get to iconlist, it still says that my update files are corrupted, and i have tried for many hours for it to update automatically. is there anyother way i can get these files?!

    Give me a couple minutes to download the manuel and upload it to a different side for you. Maybe that will work.

    Always try auto-patching from within the main game first. If it hangs, wait a few minutes. Exit the game.

    Start the game again and resume download for the patch. If it hangs again after a few minutes, repeat the process.

    If you try it 3-5 times and no progress is made whatsoever in the patch downloading, THEN try the manual patch.
