Can't find the patch server?

    Problem re-occured after playing for about an hour. Game client still 18 but cant find the patch server and it wont launch the game. You should make a direct launcher to bypass the patch update otherwise there's no use of manual updating. something's clearly wrong with the game. b:irritated

    Hmm. Do you guys have any other kinds of Antivir that may do this?
    These antivirus problems often occur when on the internet.

    I also usually have them when i play LAN with my mates, so we usually switch off firewalls and antivirus and see if that helps. ( I WOULD NOT ADVISE YOU TO DO SO, IF YOU ARE CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET!) - We only do it via LAN not connected to the internet.

    But if you are willing to try, then switch of your antivir and see if that helps?


    OH, and by the way. I also asked for a way to bypass the patch server, as i see this issue is becoming more and more known.

    I re-downloaded the client, did a fresh install and nothing changed. So for now i'm off. I'm tired of the "Please select an update server" msg and i'm tired of trying. Maybe i'll be back when they make a direct game launcher or smth...if it is before GTA hits the pc. b:bye
