Weird Error Message With A Side Of Graphic Problems

I've posted in two other threads, but they were both only half of my problems. That, and i have more information on my problem and i dont want to go back and try to edit everything. I'm also making this for people who are having a similar problem, because ive noticed while going through the threads that there are different pop up's, some with "Yes/No" options, others just with "OK"

So basically, all of this happened today.
I had played the other day, and everything was fine.
I go to play today, and i get this weird error message:

PWIError.jpg

For me, i can click either yes or no, and the game will start.
HOWEVER, the games graphics appear way darker than they should be while the game is loading, and in the game itself.

The thing is, when i took a screenie and posted it/sent it it appeared normal. So using my photoshop skills, i created a replica of what the screen looks like to me.

DARKSCREEN.jpg
Note: The text in the login box is visible, the box is just darker. I just wanted to show the same contrast-crazy graphics it was showing me.

The graphics are normal in windowed mode though, and also when i am exiting the game to my desktop.
For a few seconds the graphics go back to normal, but at that point its too late to do anything since its logging out.

I shut down my computer for about an hour and came back, and the pop up box was gone, but the graphic problem still persisted.

I have all the language packs installed, updated my driver, sent tickets, and done alot of searching through the forums/internet.
My last resort is to reinstall the game completely.
I hope this post gives some kind of structured information and a place for people who have similar problems to kinda gather around.

Like a campfire. :D

Maybe dumb now and I'm too lazy to check all posts but...

Can you provide us the text of a dxdiag?

    1. In Vista, type dxdiag in the Start menu search bar
    2. In other versions of Windows, type dxdiag in the Run command (Start > Run)
    3. For Win XP, Start > Run type in dxdiag, press enter. Click on the button at the bottom that says Save all information. Save the file where you can keep track of it, such as the Windows Desktop. Please put your email user name (not the full address) in the name of the dxdiag log file name when you save it.

The most relevant aspects would be the System Manufacturer, System Model, Display Device Name, Display Device Chip Type, and the Display Device driver section.

My tip? Get a new graphicscard or even a new comp. You may be able to get it running for now at absolute smallest settings but I doubt it.

There isn't alot your computer can handle and PW is not one of it. :(

    Delir :

(Assuming default directory) Go to C:\Program Files\Perfect World Entertainment\Perfect World International\element\userdata . Open the Systemsettings.ini file. Tell us what the setting for Gamma = is at.

    Bloood :

Do not hijack threads, and please read Surtr's guide for installation and the New-Comer's thread for starting player advice.

    Gamma = 41

I fixed that problem by reinstalling it
    and clicking "no" everytime.
the pop up is still the same as in the picture,
and the game runs fine, not too much lag or anything,
but i am getting not-toofrequent random crashes
and i just killed a monster,
and this weird pink and yellow-orange bar appeared above my head.
i have no clue what it is, ive tried relogging and its still there.

i also have problems with automatic updating.
this problem isnt as servere however, using the manual patch works fine.
its just the box and random crashes that aren't working out for me :/

The pink/yellow-orange bar is supposed to be there if you clicked the HP button, as someone pointed out in another thread.

I strongly suggest updating your graphics driver (32-bit-XP here, 64-bit-XP here) to work on the random crashes.
